Alternate theory about Zuko’s tea shop days.

Here’s the thing: he worked a minimum wage job in the service industry. Anyone who’e done that knows just how assholish some of those costumers can be. I totally see Zuko using that experience when he’s FireLord. If any one, ANY ONE!!! is rude to their tea server, maid, laundress, personal attendant, or anyone at all he will kick you out without a second thought. He doesn’t care if she spilt a drink in your lap, you don’t get to yell at her. 

He threw out one of his top advisors after he saw him yelling at a chamber maid. The advisor had been in the royal palace for 15 years, but by the next sunrise he was out of there. If he can’t respectful to every person in the kingdom, he shouldn’t represent any, 

Another time he didn’t allow one of the earth kingdom diplomats entry once he saw that he was being rude to the young page minding his horse. He allowed all the other diplomats entry, though, and told the first diplomat to come back when he can apologize to the young page boy. 

Point is, give me more Zuko giving zero fucks about your power, position or prestige. If you insult someone who’s job it is to help you, you have lost all credibility.
