It’s not that I support him taking the cheater’s way out, but I mean… there are so many cool videogames in Auradon, and I don’t want Jay to have to start stealing them for me whenever the king’s generosity runs out. Most of the time I don’t even have to make a game out of it to enjoy it, I just really like learning. Private: I think Ben absolutely would give you stuff forever if you let him! He’s a real life hero, I don’t think that heroism would run out after a year or two or three. But I mean, doing the work to get money and buy your own things seems super heavily encouraged here so I think Ben would be so proud of you for getting a job like that! We’d all be proud, really; it’s so intimidating, the idea of starting something of your own. I mean, I know I would love to start my own salon or make and sell my own accessories, because videogames aren’t the only things worth buying, and wow, sorry, I just made that about myself, whoops! I’m so not surprised you don’t even need a game to make studying fun, if my brain was as big as yours, I’d be the same way! Studying is so important either way though, of course I like it -- it’s good to know things, you know? It’s kind of like how they say that knowledge is power; it makes me realize why they kept us uninformed back on the Isle which is a sad thought, ignore that please! But like... what could most of the people here in Auradon do if the king didn’t want to help us out? Just because it took Ben’s dad time to come around doesn’t mean that most people didn’t want us here, right? Or... yeah, you’re right, we probably shouldn’t talk about that. It is kind of sad and I don’t want to be sad when I’m still so happy that I’m here in Auradon that most days when I wake up I have to pinch myself to make sure I’m not dreaming!

Oh, gosh, just so long as you’re not actually walking in circles. I know it’s great for your daily step count, but it gets very frustrating when you just can’t figure out where to go. That’s when I have to put down the clipboard and remind myself ‘Jane! Something around here has to look different; you need to search for it instead of letting yourself get caught in an endless loop.’ I totally agree with you about the maps, by the way. They’re so useful for traveling from building to building, but for some reason they haven’t mastered indoor maps on phones yet. Maybe it’s because of the buildings having multiple stories – do you think that’s the problem? I’d have to ask Carlos or someone who’s a bit better at science if GPS technology can’t figure out going up and down flights of stairs yet and if that’s the holdup.

I don’t count my steps, I don’t think I’d be able to count that high! But don’t worry, either way it’s only metaphoric circles, most of the time, anyway! What sort of checkpoints do you have in the castle? I try to look at statues but then I get distracted by how funny looking some of them are! It could be! I mean, I have no idea because I don’t know how they do maps in the first place, but you’re probably right! I could ask Carlos for you though, if you want. You always seem like you have so much going on, the last thing I want to do is add more to your list! Us freshman have to stick together, right?

Private: Expensive doesn’t seem to be an obstacle for him, but hard might be. I mean, he tried to cheat off of Evie’s introductory chemistry work last year; how’s he supposed to get through upper level classes like that. Really, though? I had the opposite experience. I assumed royals would be like he and Audrey were; Ben was the one that surprised me with how much he wanted us to feel welcome and how much he actually cared about us fitting in here.

Private: I guess he could always pay somebody else to do the hard work but that still leaves the uncomfy thing, and I can’t see Chad wanting to be uncomfy even for a second! Evie’s so smart so I understand wanting to be as smart as she is but I wish he’d just asked her to help him study or something, you know? I guess even that would’ve been too much work, but studying can be really fun if you make it fun! Oh, Ben’s been absolutely amazing! I’m so glad we have him, he’s exactly what the princes in fairy tales always seemed like they’d be. You know, noble and welcoming and so chivalrous. I guess I thought they’d all be like that because this is the land of fairy tales, isn’t it? And our parents don’t like the royals much but in their stories, they always sounded like kind people if you really, really thought about it!

I know the castle can be really overwhelming at first, but don’t feel bad if you get lost on your way to classes! I’ve been hanging out in this castle basically since before I was born, and even I still get lost sometimes; you’re not alone.

It is overwhelming! Sometimes I feel like I’m just walking in circles, you know? I’ve already been late to class a few times but so far the teachers have been really, really nice about it! I’m sure we’ll figure it out in no time though. Maybe there should be maps! Or something on our phones, phones help people get around easier over here, right?

I hope it’s just a rumor! It’s technically possible to make gold into fabric but it’s hard, and expensive, and is totally un-comfy! And why would someone want un-comfy underwear? It’d be like wearing undies made of wool, or burlap! If any royal would, just to say he could though, I could see it being Chad. I don’t want to say anything too bad about him but he’s definitely not like what I imagined the royals in Auradon being like. That could just be me though.
