Does it deserve freedom or must it rot in its cage? That's the question
It needs to colonize something for enrichment.
Post it on bluesky.
He really wants to go to Las Nevadas,,,,

I dunno man, but while you're here you should teleport to me >:3
But like thats 16 fl. oz in a can who thought that was a good idea
I dunno, we have energy drink cans that are 16 fluid ounces
Our normal soda cans are 12 fl.oz
Ik the numbers make it seem normal but take a look at this:
This cannot be normal????
wait until you see what McDonald's looked like in the age of Supersize meals
what in the kilometer is a supersize meal

Why shouldn’t they be?
“Why does this character have to be a woman?”
Why shouldn’t she be?
“Why does this character have to be gay?”

“Why does this character have to be fat?”
Why shouldn’t they be?
Don't you dare do this to albert. He probably would've found it funny to some extent but don't you dare do this to albert.
Hey, fat people deserve to have fun and get their needs met even if they’re the least healthy mf you know. Fat people deserve proper medical care, and carbs, and to wear shorts and so many more things! EVEN IF THEY ARE UNWELL AND ESPECIALLY IF THAT UNWELLNESS IS DUE TO THEIR WEIGHT!!! Fat people deserve the world and more. Not just the healthy fats or attractive fats or small fats or fats that are fat because of medication or disability.
skinny people please reblog this one

Story concept inspired by this
Regular solar punk is usually defined by overgrown cities and using the power that plants emit for our good in a climate-neutral way. That is an interesting concept and I've enjoyed some stories with it because they showcase that even in an environmentally friendly world there will never be full peace. It means we're not hurting the environment, not that we aren't hurting ourselves. This reinterpretation is completely different. In this interpretation of the label, it is almost entirely focused on the "solar" part of it. The thing I came up with was this: Years ago we found the gods slumbering in the stars around our galaxy, waiting to break out once their stars get big enough or die and collapse into a blackhole if they grow too massive. This finding led us humans to the only good conclusion: Harvest these gods while they are still asleep. We built a dyson sphere around our sun and harvest its full power to this day in preparation that one day one of the gods may wake. And when that day comes, and they come to smit us for our tower of babel, we will pierce them with the power of their own peers trapped in our cruel contraption.
This story is told through the perspective of 2 people. One "builder", somebody who worked on the dyson sphere and has been close to the thing. And one physicist who is slowly figuring out what it could possibly do to humanity.
The starting point is this: In the year 2163 humanity discovered a new element. It is incredibly heat absorbant and longlasting. We started building "heat storage" to try and reverse global warming with partial success. around 15 years later humanity wittnessed the "birth" of a new black hole. It was shocking. While some astronomers and astrophysicists were recording and watching the star collapse in on itself to form a black hole, there was a shadow of a huge humanoid thing in a fetal position in the emitted neutrinos during the stars collapse. There was something more. After further investigation of the footage it seemed to move and do so in a natural manor on its own. Then it was absorbed into the black hole. The scientists were shocked. What was in there? How was it so big? After years of research they found that inside our sun there was also something After further investigation they had found that it had a similar outline as the thing we saw in the collapsing star. It was the thing releasing the energy making our sun grow and supplying it with power. Equipped with its new Element, humanity rushed to encapsulate the sun in a kind of dyson sphere. Thanks to our new material, it could store almost all of the energy our sun emitted and helped us build it in record time: 90 years. As we captured the sun and absorbed its power into huge heat batteries in space we investigated, what the thing in the sun is. And then we finally confirmed it. It was in fact an fetus. A huge living organism, radiating so much to make it seem like a star. It was the source of the energy. And it was alive. It moved. With tiny every move it caused sun flares. Any (to it) insignificant move could have wiped earth from the face of our universe. Humanity investigated further. After years of research, studies and theological debates, we came to the fact that every star was just a huge fetus. A sleeping god so to say. Humanity doesn't know what happens when they wake. They only know that they are big enough to destroy us with a single movement and strong enough to live for a few seconds in a dying star. So humanity prepared. Against the wish of the vatican and every other theological group, governments rushed to weaponise the power which we had gained. For some day, they may wake. And when they see us, they will see ants trapping their sleeping brother in an infinite slumber. Humanity will struggle till the very end. At the end they decide to run one experiment that could ensure them safety. They redirect all the power that they have gathered from the dyson sphere over the last 10 years into a beam, powerful enough to destroy hundreds of planets and hit another sun with it. They hope to be able to destroy it, to eliminate at least one of the hundreds of thousands of sleeping deities. The star they shot at – the nearest one – is 4 light years away. Humanity panics after they fire their shot. What will happen? 4 years pass. People start to care less. another 3 years pass. The general public is starting to get worried again and starts rioting in the streets. Then the day comes. After 8 years of waiting they get to see what their attack has done. They wittness as the beam hits the star and it... disappears. The star gets bright for a second and then gets dark. But it hasn't exploded. They see something moving as the star gets darker. They see the being inside it unfurl. It sprawls out of its sun and stands. Physiscist can only describe its action as looking at what woke it. Humanity. End of the story.
The point of no return is the ending horror. It ends after that. The builder feels the sun. They feel its heat, they watched the thing in it move so slightly yet understand its power when doing so. At the start of the story they resent it. They hate it with all their guts and see it as something to be abused, to take advantage of. As the story progresses they slowly realize really HOW alive it is. Their terror grows and they start to panic over years and years of proximity like nearly nobody else has. They try to isolate the sun in our solar system as well as they can inside the dyson sphere. They hope that if we can drain it enough, it might die because it gets too cold. They hope that we might be able to at least eliminate our closest threat – not by throwing energy at it – but by sucking its energy out of it. The physicist is on the other end. At the beginning they believe this is an opportunity for humanity to advance, to slowly drain the sun but keep it stable so it doesn't collapse. But with the years they run more and more complicated calculations revealing how unfathomably powerful it is. They advise their boss (a governor) to speak out against using it, against firing it. They are not believed when they warn them. Their calculations are written off as "highly speculative" and "irrelevant" because the people in charge have already made their decision. The physicist is also not a lone voice. There are multiple physicists around the globe coming to similar conclusions but they are kept quiet to make it seem like "humanity has become more powerful than a god", the thing the governors are after. A proof of power. They find something 5 years after the beam was fired, 1 after it arrived on the planet but the consequences were still invisible they figure something out. It wasn't enough energy to destroy it. Not even nearly. It was just enough energy for something at that scale to feel a small bite like a mosquito. Something just enough to disturb it. And hopefully not wake it.
KICK THE CAN!
Let’s play the biggest game of kick the can on the internet.
To kick the can, reblog it. I wanna see how long this can go on for.
the oldest reblogs for this post that i can find are from january 2nd of 2013. this can has been getting kicked around tumblr for almost 13½ years now
And yet somehow this is my first time kicking it!
BLU3LOCK MENTION??
I think "fuck you, I hate your work and I will do it myself and I will do it better" is a really funny and epic sentiment. i started publishing poetry because an ex boyfriend of mine was publishing really ass poetry in a bunch of journals and I was like "Jesus christ, this is garbage, I could do that, and I could do it better." now I have a page in the Academy of American Poets and I've published a full length collection and his website says "former poet." You should win by succeeding way harder than they do. Spite is a legitimate energy source.
