Congratulations on the cat
using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold
I really like how the scientology speedrunning trend is developing, in this clip we see that the participants are
Not deterred by the closed door
Working as a group
Protecting their identities
Inflicting material costs to the institution via property destruction
Getting away at the end
These ideas were not all here from the beginning. They are genuinely gaining experience that can be applied elsewhere
The guy who got famous for carrying his corgi in a dog backpack is now helping rescue dogs get adopted by carrying them in a dog backpack
Wei Weaving is a Chinese artist
Okay, but the runs in her stockings! She starts out with beautiful, clearly new stockings, and then over the course of the video they get shredded, then there's a close up on a scrape on her leg that looks like it's from a wire - oh there's themes there!
For those who have missed it, a tourist in Hawaii decided it would be fun to chuck a rock (a BIG rock) at a monk seal. He missed, but he was captured on video, and when told it was illegal to interfere with them, said "I'm rich, I can pay the fine."
Is the best part that he got doxxed? No.
Is the best part that he got tracked down by a local and beaten? No.
Arrested on state at federal charges, looking at up to 5 years and 50K? Nope.
The best part is the local city council's reaction.
And the best part of that is the look on the attorney's face.
More of this please, everywhere.
After the incident, another video went viral showing what appeared to be that man getting a beating. The Maui Police Department said they had no record of any reports of disorderly conduct or assault related to the monk seal incident.
Even the local police are being cool about this.
I don't know how I'm ever expected to be normal again after watching this. this video is already lodging itself deep within my vocabulary as I type
Apollo 17 vs Artemis II
Despite everything, it's still you.

That's really cool actually
#excuse me but are you telling me that the Apollo pic is made with the help of the SUN and the Artemis one with the help of the MOON??? #that's actually so poetic i want to cry
@gorandomshesaid wait i need to sit with this one. wait.
Marina and the diamonds
A young adult novel that is from the male love interests POV; it starts off normal enough but slowly devolves into horror.
Why is he so attracted to this new girl in school? He's hung out with her by this point and knows that he doesn't even like her? It's like every time he tries to distance himself, he blacks out, and suddenly they're closer than before?
He is only himself when he's away from her, but every time he tries to alter the situation, like go to a different school or ask to be put in a different class at least, all of the adults seem to band around the girl and he's forced to keep things as they are.
The only other person who seems to get it is his "rival", another boy he'd had no idea existed until he met the weird girl, but who he's talked down from multiple panic attacks because of the same stuff that's freaking the male lead out.
The book goes from awkward teen romance to escaping a monster no one else can see, even if it means sacrificing everything they know to do it.
