The sun was slowly rising up from a distance.
The sound of faint footsteps was heard deep within the forest near Wolvendom.
The tussling of bushes caused a few birds to immediately fly by as the figure continued to run, his eyes scanning the area for movement as he let his nose take him to a specific direction.
A pack of four legged creatures followed after the boy, using the forest to blend in with their surroundings.
He stopped, lowering his body down as he stared at the target.
The usual swarm of Boars had greeted him this morning, his stomach rumbled in hunger as his pack carefully surrounded the area.
His nose twitched, catching the scent of something unfamiliar. His eyes snapped at the direction
Seeing a boar but it was much smaller than the rest.
He sniffed the air, noticing that it smelled different, it smelled odd.
He didn't have much time to think it through when the pack leader pounced at an unsuspecting boar, giving the others the signal to attack.
Razor got up to his feet, charging with the others.
His body swelled up with Sparks of electricity.
Letting out a loud howl, as he took out his claymore and swung at the Prey, some had managed to Dodge while some fell dead on the ground.
His body moved swiftly, swinging his weapon at each target that tried to tackle him, using his element to boost each attack.
Most of the boar fled, but luckily a lot of them were defeated.
The ones who died in the hunt was currently getting dragged away by wolves, to bring it to the rest of the pack.
Razor sniffed the air, hearing a crunching sound from a few feets behind him.
He turned to see a little boar.
Looking Unbothered by the massacre as it continued eating to what looks like a wolfhook Berry.
Razor realized it was the one that carried the unfamiliar scent, he took a step forward wanting to inspect the animal closer.
Yet it seemed like he accidentally triggered it.
It turned to the Electric user, glaring at him with its eyes as it suddenly started sprinting towards him.
It's speed wasn't like any regular boar, Razor was having a hard time keeping up with it.
The small creature seemed to be running in a zig zag formation, it's speed increasing as it finally jumped and head butted Razor in the stomach.
He grunts, stumbling down on the ground.
Lechonk scrambled away from his stomach, taking this chance to escape but it was stopped by a handful of wolves blocking it's exit.
It snorts, tensing his body up getting prepared to continue the battle.
It didn't care if it was out numbered, he was getting out of here alive.
A faint memory of a familiar girl flashed through his mind.
Razor recovered, standing up and attempted to grab the small pig but Lechonk was faster than that.
It quickly dug his snout deep within the ground, scooping up a hefty amount of dirt and mud.
With a determined grunt, it flings the Muddy clump directly at the Electric users face with a swift move of his head. Using the move Mud slap with precision.
Causing temporarily blindness.
Razor groans, using his hands to wipe off the mud from his eyes, getting distracted just enough for Lechonk to focus on his other opponents.
The pig used its front hooves to dig himself deeper in the ground, confusing the pack of wolves.
It wasn't everyday that they saw a pig disappear into the dirt.
They didn't have much time to locate the pig.
After a brief pause, the ground where Lechonk vanished begins to shift and rise.
With a powerful burst, Lechonk erupts from the soil in the midst of the wolf pack, its eyes gleaming with focused determination.
The sudden appearance startles the wolves, and Lechonk lands with a forceful impact, shaking the ground around it. As it emerges, Lechonk unleashes a Body Slam, charging into the nearest wolves with its full weight, sending them sprawling.
The move’s sheer force, combined with the surprise attack, causes chaos among the pack.
It let's out a loud snort, and was about to continue its attack when it suddenly got picked up.
It squealed loudly, trying to wiggle his body free as Razor carried him in his arms.
His eyes were still a bit blurry but thankfully he captured the pig before it continues its attack.
Razor leaned in and sniffed the animal as it continues to squirm.
His mind was confused, he didn't understand what was going on, but he knew that the pig was special.
He says, confirming that he should keep the pig for the time being.
"Are you sure you want separate commissions?"
Paimon asks, flying between the Traveler and the Trainer.
They all decided to join the Adventurers guild recently, today is where they received their first commissions, Mavis was the one who decided to get separate assignments.
"Most of the commissions you got involved a lot of fighting, I just prefer to take on more.. Mondane jobs" Mavis replied, letting out a sheepish chuckle as the small group made their way out of the city.
"But we'll have to separate again"
The pixie pouted, not liking that their small team kept splitting up. Though she had a feeling that this would happen often.
"We can always meet up later after we're finished, I'll even cook dinner today"
She suggested, knowing the Pixies weakness for food.
Just on cue, her eyes sparkled with excitement, practically salivating at the thought of trying out one of Mavis's new recipes.
"It's a deal!" Paimon cheered, quickly turning to Aether.
"Come on Traveler, the sooner we're done, the sooner we'll get to eat" she urges him to move faster, grabbing his arm and began to drag him away.
Aether nearly stumbled on his feet as he quickly turned to Mavis, Paimon could be Surprisingly strong as long as food is involved.
"We'll meet you at good hunter!"
He shouted, then proceeded to let the Pixie drag him away.
Mavis smiled, before going in the opposite direction, she pulled out a list of directors she had to go to today, all of them were scattered around mondstadt.
She made sure to take the easier jobs that Adventurers often look passed on.
"Guess I'll be doing delivery today"
She mumbled, looking at the list before carefully folding the piece of paper and placing it inside her pocket.
Her bag already have the food that needed to be delivered, courtesy of Sara from good hunter.
She fished for something in her bag pocket, grabbing a familiar red and white ball.
She says, pressing the button on the front before throwing the ball in front of her.
"You doing alright there big guy?"
Mavis asked gently patting at its side.
She settled in, gripping the smooth, warm scales just behind his neck. With a powerful beat of his wings, as they soar into the sky.
As they ascended, the landscape of Mondstadt stretched out beneath them like a vivid tapestry.
The Dragon let out a joyful cry, glancing at his Trainer as he flew up higher, the fresh breeze of the summer air washes through them, the sound of his wings flapping were the only things they could hear.
Giving such a peaceful ambience.
The morning sun painted the fields and forests in shades of gold and green.
Mavis couldn’t help but smile, the thrill of flight never fail to excite her.
“First stop, Dawn Winery!” she called out, holding on as Dragonite banked to the right, guiding them toward the sprawling vineyards in the distance.
From their vantage point in the sky, Mavis could see the scattered farms and villages below, life buzzing in every corner of the land.
She instructed pointing a finger towards the large Mansion, taking notice of the grape farm centered at the front of it.
Inside the estate, the quiet hum of activity had already begun.
A maid hummed softly to herself as she went about her duties, dusting the intricately carved furniture and polishing the gleaming banisters.
Everything in Dawn Winery had to be pristine, just as Master Diluc liked it. Her mind was occupied with the usual tasks—preparing the rooms, checking the stock, and ensuring everything was ready for the day.
Suddenly, a sharp gasp broke the silence.
She turned swiftly to see one of her fellow workers, eyes wide in shock, pointing toward the sky. Following her gaze, the maid's heart skipped a beat as she looked up.
She muttered to herself, it was smaller than Stormterror and it looked far different from anything she seen before.
But The wings, the scales, despite it being smaller compared to Stormterror it was still relatively large.
It was definitely a dragon.
The people of Dawn winery seemed to actively take a pause at their duties, stopping temporarily to see what was going on.
The dragon seemed to fly closer and closer to the building causing some of the staff to panic and get anxious.
The fear didn't live long though.
When a head peaked out from behind the creature, Looking down at them with a friendly smile.
She shouted, gently patting Dragonites side, signaling him to land. Being completely oblivious to the small comotion she just created, she carefully hopped off the Pokemons back.
Rummaging through her bag for the familiar Take out order.
A man stepped forward nervously approuching the girl after hearing his name, he was a new Farmer that just got recently hired at the estate.
He thought that he should reward himself with some food from Good hunter, but he never expected a Dragon rider to deliver his order for him.
Mavis made her way towards him, handing him his order.
"One serving of Pancakes and two pieces of Mondstadt Harsh browns right?" She questioned.
He muttered, taking a glance at the bag, checking to see if the order is complete before he fished for some Mora in his pocket, giving her the exact payment.
"Thank you for ordering at good hunter, please feel free to order again from us in the future"
She smiled, feeling glad to do her first delivery.
A voice cuts in to the conversation, both Mavis and the Farmer turning to see the owner of said voice.
It was a tall male with bright red hair tied into a low pony tail, his expression didn't say much, and his muscular figure was subtly hidden among his layers of dark clothing.
The Trainer didn't recognize him, but the Farmer appears too.
Francis said in a quite panic, stepping out of the way so that he can get a good look at their unexpected Visitor.
The poor Farmer stumbled with his words, trying to explain that he just ordered some takeout but was stuttering with each sentence.
It was clear that the mere Presence of the man intimidated him greatly.
"Just doing some deliveries for the day, nothing worth your attention sir"
Mavis cuts in, tipping her hat to him as a form of greeting.
The man whom goes by Diluc, gave her a blank stare before glancing over her shoulder at the peculiar sight.
Dragonite was just standing iddly by, patiently waiting for his Trainer to finish the conversation so they can proceed with the other deliveries.
The Dragon did appreciate the calming atmosphere that the Estate provided, unlike near the city where everything is too compacted for a creature like him.
His attention was taken by something fluttering around.
It resembled a butterfree, but was much smaller in size. It was glowing a bright blueish green as it fluttered it's delicate wings around the Pokemon.
It gently landed right at his snout, Dragonite froze, crossing his eyes just to get a closer look. Upon closer inspection he noticed that it's Body looked similar to a gem.
It fascinated him greatly.
Dragonite called out softly, watching as the tiny creature began to flutter away.
Diluc turned back to the girl, raising one of his eye brow in a questioning manner.
"And I'd assume that, that's yours?"
He asks, gesturing to the large creature who fluttered off the ground using it's wings and proceeded to follow the crystalfly.
"Don't worry, Dragonite won't hurt a fly" she reassured.
Diluc wasn't keen on believing her, not after the recent attacks with Stormterror, but he lacks any information about her to settle on a conclusion.
"Oh! I'm sorry, it was rude of me to not introduce myself"
She apologizes, assuming that he was the Owner of the estate, doing a small polite bow.
"I'm Mavis, I currently work for Good hunter as their Delivery woman" she introduced.
Diluc stared at her for a good second.
He kept his own introduction brief, calculating the situation before him.
"That is.. A peculiar travel companion. Dragons aren't particularly known to roam around these parts"
He commented, of course putting aside Stormterrors sudden appearance.
"Dragonite is a special case- Aye!"
She suddenly shouted, doing a double take when she saw the Pokemon stealing a handful of grapes from the bushes, stopping him before he could plop one in his mouth.
"Dragonite, that's stealing. you know those aren't ours"
She lightly scolded, placing her hands on her hips.
The Pokemon gave a look of disappointment, reluctantly lowering down the grapes.
They both turned to the red head, The dragon immediately perking up at his words.
"Are you sure? Maybe I can pay you?"
Mavis asked, not wanting to owe anyone any favors so early on. Especially since she barely knows everyone here besides her two Travel companions.
"There's no need, I can part with a few handful of grapes"
He raises a hand, stopping her from taking Mora out of her pocket.
Dragonite immediately started stuffing his face with grapes before she could say anything.
She sighed defeatedly, glancing at Dragonite who approaches the two, happily snacking on his treat without a care.
"He says thank you as well"
She translated, patting the Pokemon on the side.
"It was nice meeting you, Sir Diluc. But we still have Delivers that need to be taken care of"
She smiles and was about to get on Dragonites back when a loud scream was heard.
They all collectively turned to source of the scream, a few of the Maids rushed to aid their fellow coworker who was the owner of the voice.
The head maid Adeline asked, arriving to the girls side.
The one who screamed was soaking wet, as she stared at the large lake located at the side of Dawn winery, with a shaky hand she pointed towards the waters.
"I-i saw something In the lake, a monster!"
She shouted in fear, as she let her fellow maids help her up on her feet.
Adeline muttered, wrapping a warm towel around the poor woman's shoulders.
The poor girl was shaking like a leaf, her clothes were soaking wet, she kept mumbling about the monster splashing water on her before diving back into the lake.
Diluc said to Mavis, before approaching the group of Maids, wanting to know the reason of the commotion.
Mavis and Dragonite glanced at each other, before quickly following along Diluc's footsteps.
"I-i couldn't see much of it, but I did see these piercing eyes staring directly at me in the water" the maid explained.
She was just walking alongside the lake, she usually would feed the fishes at this hour of day during her break.
A farmer suggested, subtly doubting her words earning a glare from the maid.
"I know a fish when I see one! That thing wasn't a fish, I'm sure of it"
She defended, not wanting to be seen as Crazy.
Mavis was standing near the shore of the lake, staring at the water curiously with Dragonite hovering by.
Adeline sighed, glancing over to the owner of the Estate, who looked to be deep in thought.
"Adeline, perhaps you can go hire a fisherman to go check the waters?"
He said, giving the maid the benefit of the doubt. It wouldn't hurt to check, if it means it would reassure his workers.
But before Adeline could reply.
They heard a loud splash from the side.
Diluc turned to see the girl from earlier missing, leaving only the Dragon behind with her backpack, The dragon appears to be holding his Trainers clothes as he stared at the waters surface.
Diluc moved his attention to the lake, seeing small bubbles appear at the surface on where she jumped.
Adeline muttered, realizing what just happened.
Mavis swam deeper into the lake, squinting her eyes, trying to focus on the task at hand.
She heard the Maids cries, her description of the monster she saw was very vague, but a Trainers intuition is always right.
She swam deeper until she reached the very bottom, she can hold her breath in pretty well, she dealt with a lot of Underwater pokemon so this specific type of training is needed.
But that didn't mean she could stay beneath the water forever.
She looked around, her vision was very blurry despite her best efforts to spot what she was looking for.
Fortunately she didn't have too, for it saw her instead.
The familiar creature had taken notice of the large splash on the surface of the water, instinctively hidding within the sand, mistaking the person as a stranger.
That was until the small creature took a closer look.
It immediately made its way towards Mavis, happily moving around in excitement as if to say-
Above the surface, the staff were trying to figure out what to do.
"She's been in there for a while.." Adeline muttered, concerned for the girl.
Dragonite was hovering over the water, eyes focused on the surface as if trying to spot for any warning signs.
Diluc let out a grunt, moving to take off his coat thinking of jumping in to save the reckless woman.
But was stopped in his tracks when she finally resurfaced, letting out a gasp for air, wiping the water away from her eyes to see better.
Dragonite smiled at the sight of its trainer, lowering himself down to grab a hold of her and carried her back to the shore.
She looked relatively fine, despite nearly spending 5 minutes under water.
Mavis asked with a grin, holding up the pokemom in her arms showing it to the maid.
The purple shell opened up, revealing two dotted eyes and a pink tongue immediately sticking out from the inside.
It's voice high and squeaky, far different from what anyone could imagine.
The maid muttered, still in disbelief that the monster she mentioned turned out to be a large talking clam, she recognizes those eyes from anywhere.
"What exactly.. Is it?" Diluc questioned, furrowing his eye brows as he stared at the creature.
"It doesn't matter, I'll be taking this little guy so he won't bother anyone anymore" she says, purposely avoiding on answering his question.
Adeline offered her a fresh towel, which she gladly accepted and began drying off. Luckily she always wears a one piece swimsuit underneath her regular clothing, it wouldn't hurt to always be prepared during situations like these.
"Your lake is now monster free"
She stated, handing back the towel before she hopped back on Dragonite, placing Shellder in front of her whilst the Dragon carried their stuff.
She didn't wait for someone to say anything else, patting Dragonite in the side, giving him the signal as they soared high above in the air.
She was on the clock after all.
She still had deliveries to do.
"Is that all you ordered?"
Mavis questioned the woman, who was looking over at the food she delivered, she took a peak inside a paper bag, double checking if her order was complete.
"It's all here, though I think you forgot my condiments"
The woman reminded, in which Mavis smiled sheepishly, before rummaging through her bag to look for the forgotten packets of Ketchup and mustard.
She muttered, she was sure she packed some extra to spare before leaving.
Dragonite was standing behind her, watching the interaction with disinterest. They've been flying around Mondstadt, delivering other peoples take outs, the dragon can't help but notice though..
Of the strange stares he kept getting each time they arrived at a new location.
Dragonites aren't that uncommon, he couldn't understand why they find him so fascinating, he usually doesn't mind the attention, yet each time he looks at a person they'll flinch and run away.
He wasn't that scary, was he?
Sure his height can be intimidating to some, Towering over people at a Wapping 7 feet and 4 inches tall, but he made sure to be well behaved.
Just the thought of it causes Dragonite to lightly pout, feeling rather upset about the whole ordeal, causing him to grow even more hesitant to go explore despite really wanting too.
The antennas on his head twitched a bit, sensing another pair of eyes looking at him from a distance, he glances over to the direction, noticing it was multiple pairs of eyes instead of one.
His gaze shifted over to the group of smaller humans.
His tail moving slightly with interest.
Upon making eye contact they did flinch, looking at him with caution, yet staying put due to their child like curiousity. They haven't seen a Dragon up close before, and he didn't look that scary compared to the Dragon that attacked the city.
They continued their small staring contest.
Dragonite blinked slowly, carefully turning his body at their direction, he could immediately tell that they were still on edge with him.
He couldn't approach them so suddenly without scaring them away.
Dragonite looked around for something that could help him in this small predicament.
The children watched in a safe distance as the Dragon began to walk further away from them, looking like he spotted something that caught his interest, but they couldn't see what it was.
He gathered something from the ground, hiding it in his hands before making his way back to his original position.
His wings spread, as he fluttered off the ground, hovering higher and higher, listening to the little gasps of the children.
He moved his large body around in the air, flying in a circle, watching as the Kids stared at him in awe, unintentionally stepping out of their hiding place.
He continues doing a few simple flips and spins in the air, amusing those who are watching.
Once he noticed the kids gaining the confidence to watch from a closer distance, he immediately directed his body to fly towards them.
A few of them gasps in slight fear, yet that fear immediately disappeared when he turned his body to circle around them, flapping his wings faster and faster.
They watched as he finally let's go of the things he picked up from the ground.
Flowers, more specifically it's petals.
The kids stood there astonished, watching as the Dragon used the wind created by his powerful wings to direct the flowers higher and higher.
Once he reaches a good enough distance, he broke the circle formation by flying straight up, leaving the Petals to loose their momentum, causing them to slowly rain down on the group.
Creating such a beautiful sight.
A few of them laughed trying to catch the petals while some ran around in circles, as if mimicking the dragon.
Dragonite felt his chest swell up with pride, watching the kids get amazed by his small performance. He lowered himself on the ground, watching them try and catch the petals.
Once his feet hits the ground, he never would have anticipated that his little performance would cause him to get surrounded by the Small humans.
Question after question, yet Dragonite couldn't really answer.
He replied, tilting his head a bit as he watched the kids circle around him, now reacting to him with joy and excitement rather than fear.
