acceptance means choosing yourself, choosing other people who show you they'll choose you. there's no world in which you can be good enough for someone else and isn't that a relief? you don't have to be good enough for someone else. you don't have to earn it.

other people already love you and choose you. you just have to choose them back. you can't make yourself someone else's choice. love is not control. to be chosen by someone is wonderful and it's temporary. but that it's temporary is why it matters.

if someone chooses you, they make that choice each day. a good relationship, a good friendship, a good love they all mean choosing each other every day. baking the love, fresh like bread. choices made under duress aren't choices. love isn't a locked door. come in and help me or leave and help you or come back tomorrow when you're ready I'll still have bread and butter for you then.
