I've been in "chrysalis mode" working on various projects and i haven't had much to share recently - so lets look back at some older works!

I started working on moving toward freelancing in 2020 and since then I've made a lot of drawings I'm proud of. Here are some faves! Many are available as prints in my shop. :-)

I’m using my credentials to call bullshit on Shane not being good with kids. On a fundamental level it is impossible for him to be bad with kids for the simple fact that the kids would be truly so obsessed with him. Even if he wasn’t Shane Hollander Pro-Hockey Player I promise you a beautiful man who is good at sports will never struggle to connect with kids, they eat that shit UP.

Yes and-ing this by saying that the only person who thinks that Shane isn't good with kids is Shane. He's the person who will get really nervous and go "What do I even say to them? What if I do something mean? What do kids even like?"

Meanwhile, Shane:

"That's really cool stick tape, buddy! Oh, it was a gift from your aunt, because she knows you like dinosaurs? That's nice of her! I wish I could have dinosaurs on my stick tape. Have you seen dinosaur fossils at the museum?"

"Hey, it's okay to be scared of getting hit, but you can't let that stop you from doing your best. Nobody is going to be slamming into you here, and if that happens, we have a lot of people who are here just to help. Ready to get back out there?"

He talks about it with Ilya on their way to camp like "ugh I probably sounded so awkward, I know they like you better because you're fun." And Ilya has to "there, there" him while trying not to ruin the surprise that the campers has planned to give Shane a huge dinosaur-themed thank you card with all of their names and personal notes scribbled inside at the end of camp.

Rhonda Rotten - Despite the rough-sounding name, Rhonda Rotten is a bookish princess with pigtails and large glasses, armed with a yaoi-paddle macuahuitl. Any men traveling through Rhonda Rotten's fiefdom are legally required to "smooch it up crazy-style" with another guy before leaving. Various thumps and muffled voices can be heard from the basement of her throne room.

Mold-Mother - The Mold-Mother is an enigmatic woman dressed in mold-covered robes atop her throne of decomposing organic matter. Locals claim she can "commune with the spores" and even direct various plagues and illnesses upon her enemies. Anyone who spends an extended period of time in the Mold-Mother's throne room will suffer from confusion, weakness, and 2d6 poison damage. A successful investigation of the throne room will reveal a carbon monoxide leak.

The Anarqueen - in an attempt to square her ideological commitment to anarcho-communism with her desire to be a princess, The Anarqueen hosts a mock execution of herself every Saturday. While there is nothing explicitly sexual about the mock execution, it's very obviously a sex thing.

The Dragon Princess - a sweet li'l cutie patootie in an adorable dragon costume. Has personally executed 1,295 uppity serfs.

Well, no, I still think it’s “more” racist to baselessly accuse someone of being homophobic just because they’re addressing a very real legacy of antiblack violence that’s thematically present in one particular ship. But also at no point did I say that Ice being Black means that she cannot be homophobic, you’ve left out the majority of the argument I was actually making in order to try and pull this sad little uno reverse. Including completely papering over the fact that she herself is bisexual, and I think you’re fully aware of how convenient it is for you to erase a Black person’s queerness to suit your narrative.
