May I introduce Gnaeus Cornelius Cinna Magnus and Julia Verrucia, characters from the first novel I ever wrote, way back in olden days, who still live rent-free in my head. The original ms that I wrote when I was 16 or so was basically a Regency-esque romance with togas and a tragic ending, with the two leads based verrrrrrrrrrrry loosely on Cicero and Clodia, but the action is set during the early Principate. (I have some idea how to revise this, and I might revisit this someday. Ofc the update will have a HEA.)
