awww the like button turns into a rainbow when you press it! that's so cute...hey staff what's with all the trans women you keep nuking?
i think we should be ridiculing them more for this. you don't get to try and go all "queer website" when your staff likes to go on nuking sprees targeting the trans fem users
Tip:
When it comes to stuff like racism, sexism, homophobia, etc, I’ve found it’s usually way better to think to yourself ‘I don’t want to be’ than ‘I’m not’.
I.e. if someone goes ‘that thing you just did is ableist’, instead of going ‘I’m not ableist, I don’t hate disabled people!’ it’s usually a lot better to go ‘I don’t want to be ableist, I should rethink what I’m doing/saying/etc in light of that fact’. Because that shifts your thinking so rather than jumping straight into denial and attempts to defend your character, you’re instead more inclined to look at how your actions could be misrepresenting your intentions. Or whether you’ve overlooked something, been callous, or acted in ignorance.
Gonna be honest a lot of people deep down view cheating as worse than abuse which is why so many people view downright controlling and manipulative behavior in a relationship as 100% permissible so long as that behavior is centered around either preventing or discovering cheating.

i’ve invented this brand new concept called believing trans men/mascs. it’s like how everyone says “believe women” except it’s with trans men/mascs. and it’s so easy all you have to do is just just believe what they say by abandoning your stigmatic judgments about them !! yk because of how frequently they’re maligned as dramatic, liars, etc even when there’s unmistakable proof of what they’re saying?? the slogan is “believe trans men/mascs.” im obsessedddd it’s my new thing!!
The way society treats and sees disabled people still baffles me sometimes.
“Oh you don’t contribute to society so you should die.” Do you feel that way about retired people? Do you think that the elderly whom don’t work should also be killed for their lack of contribution? Do you think every person who is unemployed because they have cancer or are recovering from a car accident or something should also be killed? What do you deem acceptable contribution? Working in fast food? Being an artist? Working in mutual aid? Blue collar jobs? Pink collar jobs? Where is the line drawn? A persons worth is not determined by their ability to contribute to society, it is inherent. Every person has worth and deserves a comfortable life, and it’s the responsibility of the more able in society to create systems to care for those who can’t care for themselves.
People treat disabled animals better than disabled people most of the time. They see a dog missing a leg and are like “Aww look at the poor thing, let’s make it a prosthetic wheel leg so it can live and be happy and play like a regular dog!” “Isn’t it so great that that dog with a birth deficiency lived past when it was expected to?” “Look at that deaf cat, isn’t it so cute how it’s so loud when it meows and walks?”
But when it’s a person it’s “Oh they’re paralyzed and can’t work most jobs? Death.” “Oh they’re blind and can’t drive or look me in the eyes or color code these shirts in a retail store? Death.” “Oh they use a wheelchair and can’t walk around like me or stand at a counter to take orders? Death.” “Oh they’re missing an arm and can’t carry big boxes or more than a couple things at once? Death.”
And they don’t see how that’s messed up. They don’t see how that’s wrong, how these people and their lives have value whether or not they are working a job you deem to be ‘contributing’, or working at all. How their disgust is uncalled for and dangerous, how wrong they are. Because disabled people are people too, and some people with hate and bigotry in their heart can’t seem to fucking see that.
Reblogging this because I’m angry. Because so many people are going to lose healthcare in the US after the passing of the Big Beautiful Bill (ironically named) and so many disabled people are going to die or be put in terrible situations because of it. I hate this. I hate this so much and I’m sorry.
In honor of disability pride month I want to share my love.

We all know what erectile dysfunction is but literally no one is ever taught what vaginismus is and it can cause people to feel extremely lost, broken, and cause people to take their own lives. Raise. Awareness.
For the uninformed, vaginismus is when the vagina painfully tightens and spasms when faced with pressure, usually from anything trying to insert into the vagina. It’s the reason I can’t wear tampons, and why many people can’t have vaginal sex without severe pain.
There’s not a lot of treatments, and there isn’t a single one that is for vaginismus exclusively - they’re all medications or treatments to treat symptoms, but not the causes. In fact, for a long time doctors waved off vaginismus as a purely psychological disorder in cis women.
Seriously, this is so unaddressed and uncared for in medical circles. Please spread awareness, even if all it’s for is to let those who have it but don’t have a name for it finally be able to understand what’s happening to their bodies.
Certified Sex Ed Post!
Hi hello! This post is almost 10 years old and there ARE treatments for this. Vaginismus is otherwise known as pelvic hypertonia and it is a MUSCULAR condition that can be caused by many different factors including endometriosis, trauma, chronic UTIs, and connective tissue disorders.
It’s incredibly common! And it can be treated by physiotherapy.
I know this because I’m currently undergoing physio and although it can take months to recover, I’m already seeing improvement. A lot of the pelvic floor exercises are available online, but if you have these symptoms please TALK TO YOUR DOCTOR and see if you can get a physio referral (or investigation for underlying causes like endometriosis).
Also, my additions to posts never get reblogged so a note to my followers: this is SUPER IMPORTANT ISSUE that affects many people and is rarely talked about. Please reblog, and please share this info with as many people as possible.
Pelvic hypertonia/vaginismus is incredibly debilitating and psychologically damaging but it CAN BE TREATED. Spread the word, and you never know who you’ll be throwing a lifeline to.
Hey, it’s the hand that feeds you. I don’t mind a little biting actually I’m more concerned about your general well being. Yeah I’m feeding you because I care about you, I’ll keep doing it even if you hurt me because I don’t want you to starve
URGENT: Israel is already preparing a death row for Palestinians.
please check and reblog so more people can have the possibility to sign.
made you some graphics to help you remember
you are not a "victim" of seeing a naked adult body on the internet you chronically aggrieved fucking crybabies
So we're all gonna let the new Harry Potter show die on the vine, right? No hatewatching. No thinkpieces. No videos about how bad it is. Deprive it of oxygen and let it wither away unremarked-upon and unprofitable; make HBO lose their entire investment and prove to the corporate entertainment sphere that the entire IP is poison. And spend that time doing something that brings you joy instead.
For anyone not already familiar, Starlight Tours are a torture/murder method that Canadian police would inflict on First Nations people, where they would arrest them during winter, drive them far from home (usually into the wilderness in Canada), and drop them off with little-no possessions on them so that they would die by exposure.
ICE is able to replicate this because most people don’t care about unhoused folks even during winter so if someone doesn’t know any of the resources in a town they’re released into, they’re likely to die regardless if it’s cold enough.
i cant believe there are people who still havent seen this video
I could probably recite this entire video, word-for-word, on demand.
Goddamn, this is nearly thirty years old and it fits like a glove into contemporary shitpost cadence and aesthetics, this is High Art

I'm thinking about how much I dislike the "think of the children getting killed" argument as an anti-war sentiment because: 1) to the so-called civilized Western civilization, white children are much more valued, and most people don't care about brown and Black children overseas; 2) it's sad when adults die too, killed by American-made bombs, because you know what happens to orphans? Their likelihood of getting abused, trafficked, or just dying increases too.
one major type of trafficking of children in these scenarios happens through the international adoption industry. children are funneled from poorer countries into richer ones, especially in times of war & unrest. and those children are adopted by richer parents who view their "child saving" as a noble (and frequently religious/patriotic) pursuit. [x] [x] it's also a kind of ethnic cleansing, as those children lose access to their culture of origin.
i do think we should have special perspectives for children in war (for example, the unique vulnerability of orphans is because of these broader structures of youth oppression, including how care/aid is tied to access to the family form) but like. that's not where most child-savers are operating from.
