And then she drops down from the ceiling, landing beside Hatsune Miku, who has been in love with Mary Poppins since the beginning of time, and then Pomni demands that Mary Poppins choose one of them. AND MARY FRIGGIN POPPINS CHOOSES POLGARA THE SORCERESS.

So now Mary Poppins and Polgara are dating, and poor Hatsune Miku is heart broken.

Reasons why I think so/spoilers(? Can you spoil the Odyssey if someone knows the plot??) below (feel free to ignore)

They cut a lot of stuff, like the entire thing with the wind bag & the Lotus eaters, and the Cyclops doesn't talk so the whole "my name is nobody" bit doesn't happen.

The gods basically don't exist in it, which is fine in my opinion, except that means no Hermes and I love him.

Like the gods Odysseyusses' personality more or less also doesn't exist, (in my humble opinion) kinda just tough strong action hero guy.

That being said it's not terrible, and the bits with Telemachus are really good imo

Second proper read through of the Belgariad, and I gotta say it's interesting how my perspective on things changes. When I first read it Lelldorin annoyed me to no end, but this time I'm actually really enjoying him being there! Maybe it's just because I know him better than I did originally, but idk, it's neat tho :)
