i believe the rules are that you post the first line of the last ten fics you wrote/started, published or unpublished. i... have included the first line/paragraph... idk if that's in the spirit of the rules but that's ok :)

Kyle's neck itched. He scratched at it idly as he continued to sketch out the beginnings of another strip of City Dwellers, before realizing with a start what the date was. [omegaverse kyle/john/hal/guy with hal coercing kyle into fucking guy and john and then himself]
"I'm not asking for much, Hal," Carol said, raising an eyebrow at him. [carol brainwashes hal using midi tunes and period inappropriate software. it's 1993]
"You can't be serious," Kyle had said. [tbh i don't remember this one but i think hal was gonna shrink everybody (guy, john & kyle) down and smuggle them inside his womb]
The door to the bar opened with a whoosh, though Guy didn't bother turning around. [carol brings her weird aborted demon child (well. star sapphire's?) to guy to babysit after neron forces her to take custody. lots of contemplation of carol not wanting to be a mother & also how the kid feels]
Guy woke with a jump, body alert and strangely sensitized. His face screwed up in irritation as he blinked bleary eyes open to stare at the figure standing over his bedside. Grumpily, he lit the room up with the ring. [finally a published one... halguy with hal using the ring to deage/detrans guy]
Mrs. Adams droned on and on about radians and degrees as the classroom steadily grew warmer and stuffier. Ronnie refrained from tapping his pencil, already in enough trouble with the woman, and instead half-heartedly copied down the formulas and drawings on the board. The thing about Green Lantern, Carol used to think (privately in bed as she worked her way through her nightly insomnia), was that he was a hero. He was dedicated. Noble. He'd never give up his secret identity. So if she took him on dates or asked him to marry her… it wasn't his priority. It was an impossible fantasy. [i don't remember this one at all but it seems to be about carol--rereading it, it feels like a cat chasing a bird & not knowing what to do after catching it... and other meditations on carol's pursuit of the unattainable]
Rose's eye refocused, meeting vivid green that faded to purplish-white. Her body jolted back to her with a sickening lurch. Her lips were throbbing and sore and wet. The room smelled of hotel.
