"People think happiness will simply fall into their laps. You have to aspire to it. And sometimes you have to seize it when it's kicking and screaming." - Néomi Laress Wroth (Kresley Cole, Dark Needs at Night's Edge)
Identity What am I? I am a product of my society ? I am a product of my culture? Or am I both? I look Asian, but am I really? I've been told I do not ACT "Asian", traditional Asian stereotype... I am too forward, or not docile enough. Am I supposed to "act" Asian because I visually appear as one? Warm honeyed skin, straight dark hair , almond shaped eyes, bulbous nose. Of all the times I am told to act "Asian" to to TRY to LOOK "more Asian" as in lightening the skin, or should I dare say "whiten", why must they try to make me feel bad or ugly for not looking the SAME as THEM? I get that scarring is not aesthetically pleasing, but to tell someone that they SHOULD be lighter, especially if you are Chinese, that's is just prejudice. Ethnic prejudice, even towards people who share the same "culture". I am very comfortable with the skin I am in thank you very much! I love being Olive skin, it's like "yellow" with noticeably green. Hence I look like a green olive, with lashes! Am I "white"? I certainly so not look Caucasian. Growing up in multicultural Toronto, I guess I am more socially associated with Western culture and attitude. I am not "white" either. An old friend of mine said to me "You can take the girl out of a Jew(ish area ), but you can't take the Jew out of the girl!" The majority of my friends are Jewish, growing up with them allowed me to be a part of their culture too. I love making and eating Matzo ball soup. Anytime over chicken noodle soup! I embrace it all! As my Calabrese (Italian) man tells me. "I don't know what you are; you are not Asian, you are not White, you are a little Canadian. I donno (don't know). You are something else, I still trying to figure out - what makes you so different? But you are mine!" At least I am Canadian 😊 For the record I am Teojiu 潮州 Chiu chow/ chaozhou) and very proud to be! 自己人 Language family- Sino-Tibetan Sino Chinese Min language family South min teojiu (1/55 south min languages)

Everyone has their own battles, the difference is the mindset of a hero. Either you choose to fight for it all, or you choose to do nothing accepting that life is predeterminedly ill-fated and let it happen. Every battle can be won, how bad do you want to win? how badly do you want IT? Don't ever, Ever, EVER give up, the right attitude and belief is a half win, all you need is that extra push- that extra faith. Turn your "I can't" to "I can"- "I will try"- "I will"- "I will win"- "I AM a winner!" Nothing is impossible, because you are "I aM Possible"!

motives by Loren Ridinger Makeup Remover towelettes
What is it? Infused with calming botanical extracts in a pre-moistened gentle makeup towelettes that removes makeup for quick-off, before cleansing.
Skin food: Botanicals that’s good for the skin as while removing daily makeup: aloe leaf gel, camomile flower and leaf, cucumber, Althaea flower, Vitamin E
How to use: Pull one weaved sheet out of the package’s sleeve. Wipe over face to remove makeup; swipe over the forehead, down the nose, across the cheeks, gently roll over eyelids and eyelashes.
Swipe test: Cleanses makeup off in a quick swipe. Compared to other and high end makeup remover, gets the job done and even better! Skin is left cleaner as the daily grime is removed in a quick cleanse. No redness or reaction experienced!😋 VERY gentle! No stinging sensation. Glides smoothly across the skin.
-compared to Shiseido wipes: the first thing you notice as shiseido wipes is swiped across your skin: the texture. It is made out of cotton, however I personally would not wipe this across a baby’s bum- ergo it is too rough! motives remover towelettes is very mild, towel material is softer and glides over skin frictionlessly.
-compared to skyn Iceland wipes:SI towels burns the skin slightly, made skin a little red after. SI wipes over-foams to the point where your face is covered in suds, need to rinse off which defeats the purpose of the concept of a “quick wipe”. It is supposed to tone the skin too, but does it have to tingle-freeze? motives remover towelettes is way more gentle. No stinging sensation experienced, even as it tones.
-compared to ole henricksen wipes: a “brightening” makeup remover wipe. I don’t know if this made a difference or it is “brightening $washing”. It removed my makeup, but I did not notice any brightening changes. The texture is like shiseido’s. Only benefit I noticed was that it smelled like tangerine and oranges. One of the things to look forward to, but not a benefit that would compensate for a $20 price tag. motives remover towelettes removed more makeup and texture of towelettes is soften, has a gentle foam for a deeper clean.
Good for: -Quick removal of makeup or dirt when water cleansing is inaccessible -Refresher for makeup brushes in between deep cleansing -On the go traveller or work out junkie -everyone especially those with really sensitive skin
Verdict: I would buy again. 💕 💅💅💅💅💅 Performance: performed beyond my expectations, comparing it against personal experience against high end and boutique brands. It removed all my makeup: liquid foundation, blush, eyeshadow, eye brows ( I’m asian! They are sparse!), and most importantly, my eyeliner! We all know how hard it is to remove liquid eyeliner gently without rubbing the sensitive eye area or pulling out our precious eyelashes!
💄💄💄💄💄 Affordability: around $6, the quality beats $24-18 hands down and even budget store brands of $8!

My review: Frusanté
What is it? A beverage refreshment that nourishes the heart with nutrients and antioxidants specifically selected for healthy heart health. Frusanté is loaded up with amino acids, antioxidants and phytonutrients.
Superfoods: It is a supercharged infusion of super power fruits and herbs such as sea buckthorn, chokeberry, moringa, and a special blend of black, green, and white teas. Hydrating Coconut water and agave syrup tastefully blends with the fruity-tea flavours.
Taste test: Refreshingly sweet and delicious. a burst of floral- berry tartiness, with a lingering earthy taste of tea blends…
How to use: One 30ml (a shot glass), can be mixed with other beverages or diluted with water. Tastes best cold.
My creativity: Frusanté can be blended in a smoothie; no added sugar as it is sweetened with low glycemic agave syrup. Added to a summer punch or sangria for added health benefits as well as a very berry treat! Added into floral teas with a distinctive hint of berries and tea Frozen into ice cubes so when they melt, the cool beverage won’t be watered red down, infused with natural flavouring!
How I drink it on the go: a shot of Frusanté instead of beverage flavourings in my water bottle.
My experiment: Undiluted: tastes full flavoured and slightly sweet. Mixed with water: refreshing flavoured water. Add less as water flavouring. Add more for more fruity taste with a hint of tea.
My benefits: Will buy and drink again! • Replaces impulsive trips to an express cafe for thirsty-ness. • healthier- “good for you but doesn’t taste bad” health food • has a better type of sugar sweetener, proven low glycemic. Great for diabetic or those watching simple carbs intake • has coconut water. For coconut water lovers with added benefits. Like coconut water had sex with a multivitamin! 😋 • concentrated, so what I’m paying for is for nutrition and not “watered down”. • cost just over a $1 a serving for multiple health benefits vs vitamin-depleting beverages (usually I would spend $1.75-5.50 per cup!!) •can add filtered water (which is free for me) or add it to a sangria of my choice 😋 •and yummy yummy yummy!
Health Benefits: •cardiovascular support; antioxidants: -healthy carotenoids and flavonoids, including beta-carotene, gamma-carotene, lycopene, zeaxanthin, and quercetin, -polyphenols -high ORAC value neutralizes free radicals and oxidative stress
• normalize cholesterol and blood sugar levels
•oleic acid: omega 3-6-7-9 (omega 9), palmitoleic acid (omega 7), palmitic and linoleic acid (omega 6) and linolenic acid (omega 3).
•rich in essential vitamins: Vitamin A Vitamin B: thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), pyridoxine (B6) Vitamin C Vitamin E
•rich in essential minerals: -coconut water is essential mineral infused - potassium and magnesium, hydrates with natural electrolytes - moringa rich in iron, potassium, proteins ,and amino acids
•agave sweetener is low glycemic

New highlights: a new woman Hair stylist and colourist by Jennet Duong @uniqu3_bab3
Entrepreneurism
Congratulations, You’re Now in Charge of Your Life
Growing up at home, our parents tell us what’s important and how to prioritize. In college we have a set of classes and grades needed to graduate. (Or in my case the military set the structure of what constituted success and failure.) In most cases until you’re in your early 20s, someone else has planned a defined path of what you’re going to do next.

When you move out on your own, you don’t get a memo that says, “Congratulations, you’re now in charge of your life.” Suddenly you are in charge of making up what you do next. You have to face dealing with uncertainly.

Most normal people (normal as defined as being someone other than an entrepreneur) seek to minimize uncertainty and risk, and take a job with a defined career path like lawyer, teacher or firefighter. A career path is a continuation of the direction you’ve gotten at home and school – do these things and you’ll get these rewards.

Even with a career path you’ll discover that you need to champion your own trajectory down that path. No one will tell you that you are in a dead-end job. No one will say when it’s time to move on. No one will tell you that you are better qualified for something elsewhere. No one will say work less and go home and spend time with your partner and/or family. And many end up near the end of their careers trapped, saying, “I wish I could have… I think I should have…”

Non-Linear Career Path
But entrepreneurs instinctually realize that the best advocate for their careers is themselves and that there is no such thing as a linear career path. They recognize they are going to have to follow their own internal compass and embrace the uncertainty as part of the journey.

In fact using uncertainty as your path is an advantage entrepreneurs share. Their journey will have them try more disconnected paths than someone on a traditional career track. And one day all the seemingly random data and experience they’ve acquired will end up as an insight in building something greater than the sum of the parts.

Steve Job’s 2005 Stanford commencement speech still says it best:
Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish.

Lessons Learned

Trust your instincts
Showing up a lot increases your odds
Trust that the dots in your career will connect
Have a passion for Doing something rather than Being a title on a business card.
