NOTE: I made these collages at least a year ago, and I didn’t realize until now that borscht isn’t exactly accurate for Viktor as he is a Slovakian character, not a Russian or Polish character. If I were to redo the slides I might put Kapustnica or another traditional Slovakian dish. Apologies for the inaccuracy.

Whatever their conversation leading up to the kneecapping, whether Mordecai simply told Viktor he was leaving and he should retire from the sinking Lackadaisy, or if he shared his plan to spy and Marigold and wanted Viktor to leave to safely assist him with it, we know Viktor refused to cooperate and may have tried to stop him

The fact is Viktor would probably not have taken Mordecai pulling a gun on him during this disagreement seriously, after all it had been known to happen before during their squables, and those times it had come to nothing and soon after it had all been fine and like it never happened

Considering this was soon after Atlas's death, Viktor likely assumed Mordecai was just being dramatic as a way for the stunted tuxedo to process his emotions, that he was making a point and just like before it would be put away and then they would have a calmer talk.

Because there is no way after all the years they had watched each others backs he would actually shoot him

Do you think when the end of the gun got lowered he thought thats exactly what was happening, not that his partner and best friend was aiming for his good knee "for his own good"
