More breaches followed.”

Waldman confirmed to Newsweek that court proceedings into the abuse allegations will take place in November in Britain. Depp’s team intends to submit evidence proving Heard “faked” all allegations of abuse. Depp’s camp will present “clear evidence of the violence committed serially against him by Ms. Heard and the serious injuries that he suffered,” Waldman added.

We would like to hear, and believe the public should hear, what, if anything, such ‘witnesses’ have to say, so that those statements may be held to account against our imminent court filings.”

“The LAPD officers who responded to the 911 call that night also were deposed as part of the divorce proceeding. Officer Melissa Saenz, in a July 18, 2016 deposition, testified that Heard refused to give her name, so she didn’t realize who the famous actress was until weeks later. Saenz said Heard was crying but she did not see any marks, bruises, swelling or signs of injury on her face. The officer also testified that she inspected the apartment and saw no signs of shattered glass or broken items. Saenz said Heard repeatedly “shook her head” in response to questions and did not want to talk, and that she had no probable cause to believe a crime had been committed. Officer Tyler Hadden shared similar testimony.

Heard testified that she declined to give a statement to the officers at the advice of her lawyer. Meanwhile, Pennington said the officers saw “all of the damage,” including the broken glass, and offered to “go arrest him right now” if Heard filed a report. LAPD officers Saenz and Hadden denied in their depositions ever saying that.

Depp recounted a different set of events leading up to that evening. The actor, in a July 2018 filing in The Sun defamation lawsuit, claimed Heard was “aggressive and violent” and punched him in the face twice the night of April 21, 2016 after he was late to her birthday dinner. The night of May 21, he said he went to the penthouse to retrieve some of his belongings and brought two of his security guards with him because he “was concerned about what Ms. Heard might do.”

Depp said he tossed the phone on the sofa and it didn’t hit Heard, nor did he touch her. He claimed Heard started yelling at him after he walked across the room and that’s when his security guards came in and she started crying. He also claimed the damage in any photos taken by Pennington that show smashed items in the penthouse and Heard’s injured face were not caused by him, and that “hardcopy photographs were put in evidence, but neither the original images nor the associated metadata were produced.”

Depp’s team fired back, teasing evidence to be submitted in the U.K. suit that would show “Ms. Heard repeatedly violently attacked and severely injured Mr. Depp, and then faked abuse allegations against him.”

In response, Depp’s lawyer Waldman stated that Heard’s column was an “abuse of the #metoo movement” and claimed she “masquerades as victim rather than abuser.”

A hearing in the U.K. matter is currently set for Feb 22, and Waldman says Depp’s team will introduce evidence including multiple depositions, photographs and eyewitness statements.

In response to Waldman’s statements, and Depp’s claims in the U.K. filings, Heard’s lawyer Eric George tells THR, “Mr. Depp’s ongoing defamation and violation of the parties’ confidentiality agreement is already the subject of a pending arbitration. We won’t dignify his comments with any further response.”

Waldman, meanwhile, claims Heard withdrewher arbitration complaint and suggests that if she “would like to go to court … we will see her there.”

Johnny Depp Files New Legal Docs Claiming Proof He Never Struck Amber Heard

Depp’s lawyer, Adam Waldman, tells TMZ, “The dozens of Eastern Columbia Building security camera video files we recently obtained, coupled with multiple newly obtained eyewitness affidavits and sworn depositions taken in 2016, leave no doubt that Amber Heard faked the abuse claims that underpin the Sun’s defamation against Mr. Depp.”

Johnny Depp has just filed legal docs citing new evidence that he never beat then-wife Amber Heard … a claim she made during their acrimonious divorce.

Depp filed the docs in the U.K., where he’s suing The Sun for defamation in connection with an article calling him “wife-beater.” The article referenced an altercation between Depp and Heard on May 21, 2016 at their downtown L.A. home. Amber says he threw a phone at her face and then pummeled her and she took photos of her injuries.

Depp’s new documents include witness statements, saying they saw Amber in the apartment building on May 21 and saw no red marks or bruising on her face. One witness says she didn’t see the mark until 6 days later.

Amber also took photos of broken glass in the apartment, claiming Johnny hurled glass and shattered it in the unit. One of the witnesses states in his declaration, “There was no smashed glass that I noticed in the apartment at the time.”

Amber has adamantly stuck by her version of events, and Johnny has implied she injured herself after the fact and took pictures.

He also cites in the documents 2 cops who responded on May 21 and gave 2 depositions stating they saw no injuries on Amber. The cops claim Amber said nothing had happened.

The docs say there’s security camera footage on the 4 days immediately following the alleged attack, showing Amber’s face. Presumably, Depp’s lawyer is saying the footage does not show any injuries.

Again, the new filings were in connection with his defamation lawsuit against The Sun. Depp says “They must have made a positive decision to present a totally one-sided picture, leaving out my side of the story and pretending it either did not exist or was not worth considering.”

The documents filed on Tuesday allege that police officers did not notice injuries when they reported to the scene of a May 2016 dispute between the former couple, during which Heard claimed her now-ex-husband threw a phone at her face. Authorities found no evidence of a crime at the time.

According to the court documents obtained by Us, which also contain several witness statements that claim to corroborate the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s defense, Depp said that The Sun “must have made a positive decision to present a totally one-sided picture, leaving out my side of the story and pretending it either did not exist or was not worth considering.”

Sun fails in bid to halt Johnny Depp libel action over ‘wife-beater’ claim

Actor Johnny Depp has fought off a High Court bid to temporarily halt his libel action against The Sun over allegations that he beat his former wife Amber Heard.

A judge sitting in London on Wednesday rejected the newspaper’s application that his claim should be “stayed unless and until” the star (pictured with Heard) confirmed in writing that he would not sue Heard if she participated in a forthcoming trial.

Mr Justice Nicklin ruled that such an order was not “necessary” at this stage of the case.

He said the defendants, Sun publisher News Group Newspapers and journalist Dan Wootton, contended that Heard was a “crucial” witness for their defence – which is that the allegations are true.

The Pirates Of The Caribbean star’s libel claim arises out of publication of an article in the Sun last April under the headline “GONE POTTY How can JK Rowling be ‘genuinely happy’ casting wife-beater Johnny Depp in the new Fantastic Beasts film?”

Mr Justice Nicklin said the article “concerned alleged incidents of domestic violence by Mr Depp against Ms Heard during their marriage”.

Depp’s case, he said, is that the article bears the meaning that he was “guilty, on overwhelming evidence, of serious domestic violence against his then wife, causing significant injury and leading to her fearing for her life, for which the claimant was constrained to pay no less than £5m to compensate her, and which resulted in him being subjected to a continuing court restraining order – and for that reason is not fit to work in the film industry”.

Heard considered she was subject to “confidentiality restrictions” in an August 2016 divorce agreement “which prevent her from assisting the defendants with evidence to support their case”.

But, the judge announced: “I am not satisfied on the current evidence that Ms Heard’s concerns about the restrictions that the divorce agreement imposes on her are well-founded.”

He that even if they were, “the matter is capable of resolution”.

Mr Justice Nicklin said Depp had stated clearly in his evidence to the court that he expects Heard “may well” give evidence in the proceedings, and “he will not attempt to prevent that”.

He added: “The fact that Ms Heard presently thinks that there is some impediment to her giving evidence for the defendants is nothing to do with Mr Depp.

“Even if she were right, there would appear to be a number of ways of resolving the issue that have not yet been explored adequately or at all.”

James Price QC, for Depp, told the judge during the hearing of the application that the actor had “no fear” of Heard giving evidence at the High Court.

Depp, who denies beating Heard, would provide a “raft” of evidence from independent witnesses who “fundamentally contradict the evidence given by Ms Heard”, said Price.

He said the actor “wants to stop false and defamatory publications”. Adam Wolanski, for the defendants, told the judge they had “pleaded a defence of truth”, and said Depp alleges that it was Heard, not him, who was the “aggressor”.

The judge said: “Whether the allegations of domestic violence are ultimately proved true is a matter for trial. At this stage, the court is not in a position to, and does not, make any findings at all.”

No date has been set for a trial.

Johnny Depp has filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, alleging her domestic abuse claims were “an elaborate hoax” and he is going after her for a whopping $50 million.

According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Depp is taking issue with an article Heard wrote for the Washington Post in December 2018. The lawsuit states, “Ms. Heard purported to write from the perspective of ‘a public figure representing domestic abuse’ and claimed that she ‘felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out’ when she ‘spoke up against sexual violence.‘”

Depp’s attorney acknowledges that she never mentions Depp by name, but says the entire article “depends on the central premise that Ms. Heard was a domestic abuse victim and that Mr. Depp perpetrated domestic violence against her.”

In the suit, Depp calls the “false allegations” against him “an elaborate hoax to generate positive publicity” for her and “advance her career.” The lawsuit strongly states that she is the one attacked him, claiming, “Ms. Heard is not a victim of domestic abuse; she is a perpetrator.”

He claims that Heard’s abuse claims were “conclusively refuted by two separate responding police officers, a litany of neutral third-party witnesses, and 87 newly obtained surveillance camera videos.”

A very publicized incident between the couple occurred on May 21, 2016, when Heard claimed Depp attacked her. Depp claims a neighbor gave a declaration saying “he repeatedly interacted with Ms. Heard, at close range, without makeup, and utterly unmarked and uninjured in the days between May 22 and May 27, 2016.”

The lawsuit also claims that two police officers “testified under oath that they closely observed Ms. Heard’s face in good light on May 21, 2016 and saw no signs of any injury.”

The lawsuit claims that an employee of the building reviewed building surveillance video three days after the alleged incident. Depp claims the employee “testified under oath that she saw Whitney Heard pretend to punch her sister in the face. Then Ms. Heard, Ms. Pennington [Heard’s best friend], and Whitney Heard all laughed.”

Heard was granted a temporary restraining order against Depp because of the incident after she claimed to “live in fear that Johnny will return to the residence unannounced to terrorize me, physically and emotionally.”

Depp also details an incident one month into their marriage where he claims she threw a glass vodka bottle at him, which shattered when he made contact with his hand. He claims his finger had to be surgically reattached and claims Heard “disseminated false accounts of this incident, casting Mr. Depp as the perpetrator of his own injury.”

He claims the op-ed caused damage to his career, claiming that four days after the op-ed was published, he was dropped from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Johnny Depp’s attorney sums up everything by saying, “Ms. Heard also knew that her elaborate hoax worked: as a result of her false allegations against Mr. Depp, Ms. Heard became a darling of the #MeToo movement, was the first actress named a Human Rights Champion of the United Nations Human Rights Office, was appointed ambassador on women’s rights at the American Civil Liberties Union, and was hired by L’Oreal Paris as its global spokesperson.”

Depp is suing for defamation and asking for damages in excess of $50,000,000.

Johnny Depp claims he has proof that Amber Heard was spending some questionable time with Telsa founder Elon Musk during their short marriage.

As The Blast first reported, Depp sued Heard for defamation over an op-ed Heard wrote last year where she referred to herself as “a public figure representing domestic abuse.” Depp denies ever abusing Heard.

The lawsuit claims that shortly after their marriage, Heard began a relationship with Musk. “Unbeknownst to Mr. Depp, no later than one month after his marriage to Ms. Heard, she was spending time in a new relationship with Tesla and Space-X founder, Elon Musk,” the documents state.

Depp claims Heard received many “late night” visits from Musk at Depp’s residence and used the building’s personnel to facilitate the visits. He claims the “Aquaman” star asked staff at the building to “give her ‘friend Elon’ access to the building’s parking garage and the penthouse elevator ‘late at night.’”

Depp’s legal team claim they’ve deposed members from the building’s security team, and they testified to seeing Musk leaving the building the next morning after his alleged late night visits.

As for what sparked the relationship between Heard and Musk, Depp claims the first time he noticed the Tesla CEO at his home was after an argument with Heard over entering into a postnuptial agreement. He claims that specific argument led to the actress allegedly hurling a vodka bottle at him in anger.

One of the main reasons Depp is bringing up Musk is to prove his case that Heard was lying about being abused by the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star.

He also claims Musk was given access to his home to spend the night with Heard on the same night she “presented her battered face to the public.” They believe the entire claims of domestic abuse by Heard were an “elaborate hoax.” [..]
