Ok batfam fandom, Here's my first DC post, it's for a prompt
Explaining the reasoning behind my au: When I was younger, my screen time was limited, so I had to choose wisely what I wanted to watch. My choices? Anything to do with Batman: The Animated Adventures, Justice League Unlimited and Batman Beyond.
At that time, those were my only interactions with anything from Batman, and of Bruce's children, I only knew Tim drake and Ricardo Tapia (Richard "dick" Grayson in the og dub, but that's what they called him in the Latin American dub).
In Justice League Unlimited, it's revealed that Bruce is the father of both Terry and Matt (my brain exploded at the revelation). So these were the Bat-bros I grew up with (since I couldn't get comics either). It's worth noting that I also watched the movies in the same style as the other series because my mom didn't know some of those movies weren't suitable for young children, but she thought they were because they shared a style.
Prompt: The Batbros are teleported to Neo Gotham, where they meet Neo Batman (Terry McGinnis) and Neo Robin (Matt McGinnis). And they have to work with Matt and Terry to get back home, meeting several of the other characters along the way.
Of course, I choose to ignore the part where they included Jason in the BTAS timeline when he returns as Red Hood even though he was never mentioned in any of the series (that i remember).
There was also a large age gap between the neo-brothers since Dick became Robin at 10, nine years later he abandoned the mantle at 19, and finished university at 22 (possibly), He left Gotham and spent years learning martial arts and traveling for "years" (maybe 6-7 years, Learning martial arts is no joke) and returned to Gotham to help Bruce, then went to Blud-Heaven in the series when he met tim He must have been between 29 or 30 years old and Tim was between 10 and 13 (Old enough to be his father lol).
Terry is 16 or 17 when he becomes Batman, and Matt is 8 when he first appears, while he is 13 when he becomes Robin.
I know Bruce is 60 years old in Batman Beyond (hell, he's not that old to have to retire, but I assume due to damage done over the years)
Dawg, the bros from the mainline don't have that much of an age gap between them, but the neo-brothers do (with how terrible Bruce looks in Batman Beyond, I thought he was already between 75 and 85 not 60).
BTAS/Batman Beyond Bruce is the type of father who has children with a large age gap between them.
