'pansies in a green vase,' wilson davis ellis, american c. 1954.
The sooner you start, the sooner you'll be done with it and the sooner you can stop thinking about it. Go on, up you get, it won't be as bad as you think.
zeus is so bold commenting on poseidon having a forbidden kid as if he doesn't have TWO: one who is currently a tree and the other who's being raised by wolves. be serious
He was despised and rejected--a Man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief. We turned our backs on Him and looked the other way. He was despised, and we
did not care. (Isaiah 53:3)
Rejection is painful, and creates a void that longs to be filled. Sometimes we fill this space with anger or self pity. I don't know what your story is, but Jesus understands. He was betrayed by a friend, denied by another. And when the soldiers came to arrest Him, He was totally abandoned by everyone close to Him, beaten, spat at, mocked, scourged and then crucified with no one to give Him a word of comfort.
He knows exactly how you feel. He has been through it.
In Luke 14:25 we know that Jesus was ‘rejected by the people of His day.’ Isaiah 53:3 tells us that, “He was despised and rejected by men.” John writes in chapter 1:11 of his gospel, “He came to His own, and His own did not receive Him.”
You see, He understands exactly how you feel. He has been through it. If you go to Him, He will comfort you, embrace you and take away the pain of rejection. He says to you, " I love you with an everlasting love. Remember Jesus hasn't rejected you!
He died to make you His own.

happy birthday to the greatest percy jackson lover and writer i know aka @onetee !! it was her birthday yesterday, so i drew this percy for her (we will ignore the fact he's not wearing his trademark necklace)! my wrist hurts but i learned a lot with this one!
the people’s princess we freaking love you annabeth chase 😽
Yeah, that's true.
PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS | 2x05: We Check In to C.C.’s Spa & Resort
The sirens had no effect on Percy because the only thing on his mind was making sure Annabeth was safe. This is insane. This is the most accurate Percy-fatal -flaw-tunnel-vision-Jackson ever.
Annabeth's fatal flaw making her think she could save them, and almost getting her killed, and Percy's fatal flaw actually saving them because the fact that she was in danger shielded him from everything else? It turns out that her fatal flaw ultimately saved him in the end, too. They saved each other!
This is the most soulmate thing in the whole world, when you are both unbelievably and irreversibly flawed, but your flaws complement each other in a way where neither of you could survive on your own, but together you can get through impossible things.
one of the best things about pjotv percy going so hard with the yearning is that he is still in fact actually deeply oblivious to the nature of his feelings so even absolutely unhinged shit like "i'd burn down olympus for you" is genuinely him just Having A Real Normal One With His Good Friend Annabeth
