I can finally talk about this YIPPEEEEEE!!!!

In 2024, I got to participate in this amazing zine with so many amazing people, and I was fortunate enough to work on the cover of G&G's Backstage Pass zine! All copies have now been distributed, with all proceedings going to charity.

The man himself, @kellengoff , was apparently a huge fan of this project, which is like the ultimate stamp of approval for something like this imo.

Even over a year later, I'm still blown away by what this community has been able to accomplish. One of the best fandom experiences l've had the pleasure to participate in. (To my tumbr moots: I'm sorry for disappearing for almost 2 yrs but I still think abt y'all gng)

When you hear audio of Mr Tenna talking from the new FanGamer ad, and you have a rig already somewhat made... Before you know it you've talked yourself into animating him before you even have an idea of what you want him to do!

Small ramble (nothing fancy) under the cut...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA I had a lot of fun doing this, although trying to do it while also being really sick was dumb as hell. Also I'm so glad I just kept it simple in the end. I decided a nice Earthbound Grid BG is enough. Before I was trying to capture game footage, trying to splice it in, all this stuff... Make it look more like an actual ad.

But at my core I just wanted to animate Tenna acting, that's the fun part after all. Glad I kept it simple. Now I can breath for a bit... Until the next stupid idea pushes me out of bed.

Also on the bright side, my cold is starting to get better. Hooray!

can confirm, i’ve used these charity care programs for the past decade and the only time i’ve paid a cent to my hospital is for a few months where i lapsed on renewing my application (it expires every six months at my hospital) and it was like, $60 in copays so i just paid it. and i’m someone who sees at minimum 2-3 medical professionals a month to extensive chronic illnesses. this isn’t just for if you’ve racked up a big bill, if you’ve been putting off getting care apply for one of these programs and you may be able to get treatment for free

Each of those took 8+ hours to make aha ha how I love. How I love animation... It was worth it tho! My fav is the attack sequence with claws :) the way his tendrils move just scratches something in my brain
