So instead of May dying, she doesn't, and the spell still goes through, but oddly enough, she continues to remember Peter until she doesn't, slowly developing Alzheimers and slowly forgetting Peter. Instead of forgetting him at once with everyone else
A/N: My grandma did have Alzheimer's, so please, I do understand how awful a disease it is, I just wanted to make everyone very sad.
Typically Ayame goes with both the twins to the summer festival, however this particular year, Atsumu fell sick with the flu. So it ended up just being her and Osamu at the festival together.
Before this night, all of the yearly festival photos were taken of both twins and Ayame. This photo was the first of just the two of them our together formally. This years photo was taken by one of their mums at the festival that night.
This night changed the relationship between Ayame and Osamu, solidifying them as a duo and as a blossoming relationship.

Sneak Peek Beneath the cut:
You take your typical position of tossing the ball as best you can and him spiking it over the net with a fast whoosh and then a rough smack against the wood. Then repeat, whoosh then smack over and over again. But tonight, something is off, the ball hitting the floor is louder than usual, Shoyo’s spiking rhythm is off, he’s not hitting the ball at the right time, it’s off by a few seconds every swing. You can hear his breathing grow heavier as he keeps on hitting the balls.
Between plays he makes more glances at you, he is visibly distracted this time. “You’re off” you state to him,
“Huh? No I’m not!” He stubbornly denies.
“Sho, you just missed by, like, a lot” “...Again.” you tease at him and he just gestures towards you to throw him the ball again in response.
Except this time he catches the ball instead of hitting it, He holds it softly looking down at it. “Sho? You good?” you softly ask him, with a friendly concern in your voice.
“...Do you remember when we used to do this everyday?”
You softly laugh in response “You mean when you wouldn’t let me go home?”Â
“Hey, I said please.”
“You whined.” You corrected him with a smile on your face, that he shared for a few seconds, but it fades just as quickly as it showed.
“You know,” he said quietly, “you were the only one to toss me the ball back then.”
“Well, someone had to make sure you didn’t lose hope.”
“..Yeah” Something in his voice made your chest tighten.
Shoyo walked towards you, with the volleyball tucked beneath his arm. He stops close to you. When you reach for it your hands softly brush. The contact was accidental but it makes you freeze, with hands brushing and neither pulling away.
“Y/N I–” You looked up at him. You hadn’t realized how close he’d gotten. It was close enough to feel his breath hitch, and visualize the words waiting in the space between the two of you.
We’ve done lip biting to death... Let’s evolve.
• Eyes flicking to someone’s mouth mid-sentence
• Forgetting what they were about to say
• Leaning in unconsciously
• Mirroring posture without realizing
• Smiling at something that wasn’t that funny
• Adjusting hair or clothes when the other person enters
• Noticing and remembering details no one else bothers to
• A pause before pulling their hand away
• Shoulders softening
• Looking away first and then back again
• Swallowing before speaking
• Voice lowering slightly
• Turning their body fully toward the other person
• A delayed reaction to a touch
