“never kill yourself” is such a funny phrase to me that i think it’s accidently started working. its like an affrimation. say ‘never kill yourself’ enough times as a joke and maybe you won’t try to kill yourself over minor inconviences anymore

Trans men being seen as "undesirable, unfuckable women" after transitioning

Trans men being one of the demographics of the LGBT community at highest risk of rape

Trans men being targets of forced detransition via corrective rape and forced pregnancy

People denying both that this increased risk of rape and forced detransition even exists, and instead attributing it to trans men being "TERFs in waiting"

People insisting that trans men being seen as unfuckable women and/or mentally ill girls protects them from systemic violence and therefore makes them less worthy of protection

would be funny if it wasn't fucking terrifying. When you deny the reality of transandrophobia- when you claim that trans men are lucky to "only" be seen as "ugly mentally ill girls"- you are enabling societal violence against trans men.

should also bring up this study that found that women who are less conventionally attractive and feminine ("prototypical") are seen as less likely to be sexually harassed, and "nonprototypical victims are seen as less credible, less harmed by the harassment, and their harasser is seen as less deserving of punishment."
