So I don't really even know what to put here any more. I'm an angry human being with a very big chip on my shoulder about the state of the world today, and frankly, if you're not pissed off about it too, then you're not paying attention and you're still in that blissfully ignorant state that is helping support all the bad shit. Of course, being pissed doesn't get anyone very far on its own, so I'm not really doing much more than the blissfully ignorant are to fix shit. fml. I'm lost and feel hopeless. Grounded only by my bleak and uncertain future. Fuck poverty, fuck the monetary economy, fuck the 1%, fuck inequality, fuck injustice, and fuck ignorance. The Venus Project- This is a project aimed at designing the starting point for an every improving society based on a non-monetary, "resource" based economy intended to be sustainable and focused on improving life and actually solving the problems humans and life face simply existing. A thing I plan to do with my life in the short term (next 20-50 years) with the goal of improving life, kinda a sub category of TVP in a sense: The SENS Foundation- This is a foundation who's aim is to eradicate age related death and illness. Basically this would eradicate all illness and age related death and plausibly significantly reduce the likelihood of death caused by traumatic accidents. Presumably of course this wouldn't entirely eliminate death, but it would greatly reduce it except in extreme circumstances. My blog, my reblog haven, and occasionally my own posts, including stuff about my life, religion, the economy, social issues and wtf ever I feel like else.
So It’s been quite awhile since I’ve been on here. Looking back on my last posts here I would say that the elections pretty much killed me. And since it looks like several of you are still around in some capacity I figured I would give an update in case anyone was curious.
I got a job working for a company that develops the firmware and hardware that controls the painting tools on the trucks that paint the roads all over the US. I loved it. Worked there from September 2017 to August 2018. Before that though I ended up having to go off my ADHD meds. I lost my job probably as a direct result of that. At least in part. Though other factors played a substantial role.
Currently my family and I are living at a family friend’s place. (possibly my future (step)father in law’s place.) Anyway, we’re out of unemployment. Still haven’t found a job. Back on TANF. Reducing everything we own by degrees. I did manage to get a 2008 Prius when I had that job though. Wonderful little car. Son is doing Amazingly well in school. They want to put him in the TAG program, they support him with his ADHD needs and he hasn’t gotten into a single fight or had a single ,eltdown in like, 2 years.
I wasn’t sure of my log in information for this account so I got a new one. ADHDChipmunk if anyone cares to take a peek at that. I’ve gotten very big on ADHD and politics.
Started taking a new ADHD med. Strattera, and I’m on an anti-anxiety med now too. It’s been helping a little and I’m really hopeful that when I get a higher dose that I’ll be doing much better. Turns out my anxiety issues are probably a lot more severe than I realized.
Anyway, I’m glad I figured this thing out and was able to come back. Looking forward to seeing how everyone’s doing!

It is hard to find a single white demographic that did not come up with a Trump majority (white college graduated women some up with a 51% for Hillary, a small margin indeed) and there is not a single non-white demographic that came up with a Trump majority or came anywhere near it.
I encourage you to look through those exit poll results for yourself. CNN has extensive and well-researched exit polls and the difference in the numbers is far too big to be explained away by a margin of error.
Statistically the strongest defining feature of the Trump supporter is whiteness.
Does this mean the majority of white people actively hate people of color and voted for Trump because they wanted a racist in charge? No. That’s not how white supremacy works.
What it does mean it that, as a result of white supremacy, a LOT of white people who consider themselves ‘not racist’, ignored Trump’s racism and voted for him anyway. A lot of white people did not care about people of color enough to not vote for Trump.
That’s white surpemacy’s biggest feature: apathy to the point of allowing people to die because you can’t be bothered to keep them safe.

The administration’s claims about crowd size at the inauguration are a pure distraction. In the past 24 hours, Trump signed executive orders aimed at the ACA and installing his cabinet, deleted the pages related to LGBT rights, national AIDS policy, and climate change from the white house website, and all foreign ambassadors have been fired. Throwing up obvious lies about numbers and yelling at the press is just an attempt to make people focus on those lies instead of the real things they are currently doing.
Folks, this is a pattern. This is what he *does*. It’s his Thing. Whenever he starts up something particularly outrageous on social media, look for the legal/political shenanigans for which he’s using the social media circus as a cover.

The Dutch government is leading the charge to counter the impact of America's plan to halt foreign aid to any organisations which support abortion in any way.
The Dutch Government is planning to launch an international fund to finance access to birth control and abortion in developing countries, in order to fill the gap left after the Trump administration announced it would no longer fund any overseas aid organisations which discussed abortion.
“Banning abortions does not result in fewer abortions,” Dutch Trade and Development Minister Lilianne Ploumen said in a statement.
“It leads to more irresponsible practices in back rooms and more maternal deaths.”
The World Health Organisation estimates that 22 million women experience unsafe abortions every year, the vast majority of whom are in developing countries.
A 2008 report from the organisation estimated that nearly 50,000 women die from complications in such procedures annually.
Minister Ploumen said that the Trump administration’s decision risked undermining recent advances in women’s health.
“We must not let this happen,” she said.
“We need to compensate for this financial blow as much as possible, with a broad-based fund - which governments, businesses and civil society organisations can donate to - so that women can remain in control of their own bodies.”
The Minister said her intention was to counter the impact of the funding ban on women and girls around the world.
and incase anyone accuses me of “overreacting”… yes, scientists are literally fearing censorship policies that will prevent them from informing the public about Earth’s current climate. The EPA (environmental protection agency) all of the sudden had their grant programs frozen. This means that funding for further researched is denied, redevelopment of former industrial sites, air quality monitoring and education. This gag rule also prohibits any EPA employee from talking about it. Trump also banned the EPA from giving social media updates. So yes….. any verified science affiliated social media account IS at risk of being censored under trump’s presidency. The least we can do is further spread these tweet before they get deleted. We deserve to know what’s truly going on in our world…

THE NATIONAL PARK SERVICE IS IN OPEN REBELLION
If you’re not in America or aren’t following American politics right now, I want you to know that two extremely scary bills got introduced in the House of Representatives. HR 586 and HR 193. Those links have the current proposed text of the bills, so feel free to read them and see who submit them at your leisure (spoiler, both by Republicans - one from Alabama and one from Georgia).
So that you don’t have to follow through those links to be scared, I’ll outline them here.
HR 193, introduced on 1/3/2017 by Rep. Mike D. Rogers ® of Alabama district 3
This one outlines a withdrawal from the United Nations by the United States (requires it, in fact) and prohibits funds or participation in any UN exercises. If this passes and, for example, Russia decides to start annexing random parts of East Europe/West Asia that used to be part of the USSR, the United States could only go there independently, and would not be able to go there on the request of the UN.
It also removes diplomatic immunity for UN officers or employees, meaning that if some shit goes down in the US, and they send a peacekeeping mission here, they would be treated as criminals and acts of war by the highest offices of the state.
HR 586, introduced on 1/17/2017 by Rep. Jody B Hice ® of Georgia district 10
This bill would like to “provide that human life begin with fertilization” - meaning that an abortion could be charged as a murder, if they take it to the extreme (which, let’s be real, states like Indiana, Texas, Georgia, etc., would). Even miscarriages without abortifacients (aka abortion chemicals) would be in danger of being taken to trial, as evidenced by it happening in Indiana. Implemented the way anti-choice advocates desire, it could lead to hormonal birth control options being completely outlawed - people who use hormonal BC, even if it’s not for the birth control aspect, could be at risk of losing their ability to control things like PCOS and heavy bleeding through hormonal birth control.
Please call your representatives and voice your dissent against these bills. Our fight does not stop with the march that happened Saturday - it’s just beginning.
