This is a Hot Take for every single fandom that has ever existed on planet earth. Itās kind of a two in one. First off.Ā
Not every character/person is gay.
LGBT+ ships. Gotta love em. Donāt get me wrong, itās totally fine to ship characters who havenāt been confirmed nor denied as gay. Although according to the internet every character to ever exist is LGBT+ even those whoāve been confirmed otherwise. To each their own. But when it comes to real life people; if someone has out right said that they are not gay or that they are uncomfortable with shipping (gay shipping specifically); Donāt. Post. About. It. Being shipped with someone who is of your gender(s) of preference is already uncomfortable enough, donāt make it worse. If they are LGBT, but theyāre just not out doesnāt matter. Donāt. Post. About. It. If you have a ship that a person involved with has said they are uncomfortable with, keep it to yourself or at least mark it in such a way that the person in question will not see it. Such as, (using BTS as example) āT*aekook is the cutest ship every omgomgomg!!!ā orĀ āEvery single B*TS member is LGBT+ and I love it!!ā. This stops it from showing up on a simple search of a name, but others who agree with you can still find it. Remember that shipping people can ruin friendships, especially if itās a LGBT+ ship and the people involved arenāt LGBT+.Ā
Point Two :
Stop. Sexualizing. Underage. Characters/People.
I donāt know how many times I have to say this. I donāt care ifĀ āitās just a characterā is fucking weird and creepy, especially if youāre of age. Just donāt do it. Itās a different story if youāre also underage, but donāt make drawing of them doing explicit acts and then post about it, allowing people of age to see. Specifically those who are pedophiles, or MAPs. If youāre going to draw or write about that, keep it do yourself. Although, itās not so bad, because theyāre just fictional characters. Even tough itās still wrong, thereās not much you can do about it. Theyāre non-existent. Now, once you get onto real life underage people itās a different story. Do. Not. Sexualize. Minors. End of story. There is absolutely no reason for a twenty-one year old to comment how hot a fourteen year old is, celebrity or not. I donāt care if Finn Wolfhard is your celebrity crush, if youāre 18+ donāt say shit about how you wonder what heās like in bed. Itās fucking disgusting. He may be turning 18 soon, but people have been sexualizing him for years. Not just Finn, or the cast of stranger things, but every other minor. Donāt do it. There were recently comments about an underage female K-Pop idol in a chatroom saying how they would like to do things to her. Not only illegal, but some of what they were saying is non consensual. Imagine how violating it would be, to have people old enough to be your parents, or better yet grandparents talking about you in a sexual manner. And that they donāt care if you donāt like it. Unacceptable. Just donāt do it.Ā
