I have a small project that I've been working on for a bit (read: the Brain Worms made me crank out a shit ton of writing in a short time frame) and so far I only have a couple of friends that I've ranted to about it. I'm considering posting some of it here, so here's the basis:

This setting is based on both Abrahamic mythology (broad umbrella I know, but humor me) and a lot of its associated apocrypha and mysticism, with a smidge of Lovecraft and other horror media. It's half story and half pure worldbuilding, but both are still barely quarter-baked.

The main character of this story/setting is the fallen angel Azazel, who has taken it upon himself to protect Earth from the forces of the Demon Lords of Hell and keep Heaven from inflicting another cataclysm, all while trying to live a somewhat normal life amongst humanity.

I already have a semi-solid idea of how I want Heaven and Hell to work, but I'm not sure if I want to leave Earth as is or do a bit of alt-history given the presence of magic and otherworldly beings, because no fucking way the public hasn't picked up on all that. Maybe I could do it like Chainsaw Man and have it all be a recognized part of an otherwise modern society.

My main inspirations for this are as follows: Ultrakill (and Dante's Inferno, which Ultrakill is largely based on), Make the Exorcist Fall in Love, Helluva Boss/Hazbin Hotel, Barlowe's Inferno, Peter Mohrbacher's Angelarium, and Zhihang's Inferno by u/Anozumi over on Reddit.

As for characterization choices for the main factions: Heaven isn't some sort of dystopia, but neither is it perfect. The Godhead and loyal angels mean well and do a good job running things most of the time, but they've fucked up badly in the past. Hell on the other hand is a horrifically terrible place to live, but the inhabitants, from the Demon Lords to lowly Imps and Damned humans, are just people at the end of the day, not incarnations of evil.

So yeah, I might post some entries later and update them as time goes by. I don't have a name for this setting yet besides maybe Azazel's Terra, but I'd like to hear some suggestions. I might go with one or come up with another on my own. Hope you enjoy!

Hi, Catholic here—the only part of the holy trinity with a human body is the Son (Jesus) so yes, but also God the Father doesn’t have a human body so no, but the Father, Son and Holy Spirit are all the same being as well so yes, but all humans including women are created in the image of God so hypothetically He has everything else too. Hope this helps.

The theme of the thirteenth Object Head Zine is “Villains”.

Let's celebrate the bad guys this time around, let the horrors win, and have the darkness claim the day. This year's zine wants you to imagine what if the baddies got their way and show off how cool being villains can be.

This book will feature 29 people I’ve selected, plus 31 open slots available to the public for a total of 60 participants! This year’s zine is a PAID OPPORTUNITY of $115 USD per page (an increase from previous years!). Participants will be paid as soon as they complete their piece  (give or take a week for PayPal to transfer funds). There will be a pre-order sale to cover the costs of printing and shipping.

The guidelines are as follows:

Illustration-quality works in either digital or traditional mediums. Both colour and b/w acceptable; background required. *BG can be as simple as a pattern or colour block!

6”x9”, 300 DPI illustrations with a 1/8th inch bleed (FINAL DIMENSIONS SHOULD BE 6.25” x 9.25”) Works must be in CMYK, and in a vertical format only.

At least one (1) work in progress picture should be sent in with your final illustration.

For consistency’s sake, keep faces to a minimum (You can have eye(s) or you can have mouth(s) but don’t have both in a humanoid arrangement.)

Original characters only (yours or your friends’).

You can include humans or other creatures, as long as there’s a 1:1   object head to non-object head/human ratio.

This book is for all ages. PG-13 content at the most! Cartoon violence and blood are acceptable, but realistic gore is NOT. Use your common sense. If you’re unsure, run the idea by me.

Protagonists can be included in the composition but we want to make sure the villain is the main focus.

Completed illustrations must be sent as a flattened psd or tiff file
