vegans make peace with honey
no shut up do it
vegans will pretend not to hear when natives tell them their agave products are unsustainable because they have whimsical feelings about, and i cannot stress this enough, the freedom of hive insects
Honey is literally murder but go off
Prove it.
They literally puke their guts up to make your honey
I have not seen any evidence tonsugges they are harmed or die in the process of production. They do regurgitate the nectar as part of the process to concentrate it into honey (an interesting process) but they do not suffer any injury during this process. If they did, the cost to produce honey, which is done naturally as a measure to survive over winter and through times of lower availability, would outweigh the benefits. If you kill several bees to produce enough honey to make one more bee, It makes no sense. Any animal that did that would die, even with human intervention.
Do you have any sources which suggest otherwise? Iâd be interested to hear of this (relatively publicly available) information was false or misunderstood.
Bee farmers use whats called a honey maker. Itâs a crude devices. It similar to a meat grinder. They force the bees in and grind them up. What comes out is a paste. That paste is later filtered into what we know as honey
This is the funniest thing Iâve ever read
@zoologicallyobsessed please show us pics of your bee grinder
they might be falsely thinking about a honey extractor machine. but all these do is you place the beehive frames inside and a motor rotates it at a speed that removes the honey, which is then tapped through a tap at the bottom.Â
âŠdo they think they put bees in that and spin them around until they vomitâŠ?

bad and naughty bees get put into the b e e c e n t r i f u g e to extract their honey
Vegans coming after beekeepers is one of my major teeth grinding annoyances. For many reasons, because thereâs so many lies. And to go one step further because itâs such a waste. You see, the strongest vegan argument is that they donât want to exploit animals or take from them without their consent.
⊠but⊠Bees consent. NO. IâM NOT KIDDING.
How? Bee hives arenât kept on leashes. Theyâre outside, the bees can travel miles every day. They follow their queen. Who is also outside, not on a leash, and can travel miles every day. If she doesnât like the hive for any reason - for example: it got too hot, too cold, too messy, too filled with sugary stuff and they need more space⊠then the queen leaves. And with her the hive.
The queen stays in the hive because the hive is the best place to live. Period. Done. End of. If the hive is staying with the beekeeper itâs because the keeper is doing their job correctly and keeping them happy because the bees can, and do, leave bad beekeepers.
Of all the animals we have domesticated as livestock, bees are the ones you can most easily argue are consenting participants in their keeping.

Heartbreaking Simpsons Moments 1/â: Bart Gets an F
I never understood why itâs an F if he gets more than half out of 100? Unless itâs more than 100. If you get more than half the answers right how is it an F?
You must not be from America. Here, grading is fucked up.
Average American Grading Scale: A+- 97-100 A - 94-96 A- - 90-93 B- 80-89 C- 70-79 D- 60-69 F- 59 and under
And in some places in America it goes by a 7 point scale, so itâd be A - 100-93 B - 92-85 C - 84-78 D - 77-70 F - 69 and below
Now you understand why American kidâs feel like thereâs no point to school. If you have a 100 question text, and get 79 of them correct, thatâs a C. That meanâs your Average Intelligence on this particular subject. And it getâs even worse when you have only like⊠a 10 question quiz. If you get two wrong? thatâs a B. 80 fucking %. Now tell me again why American schoolâs are easier?Â
No wait but whats the grading system in other countries?
UK Grading Scale
100-70: A
69-60: B
59-50: C
49-40: D
Below 40: F
next time you try to tell americans that weâre stupid
iâm gonna remind you
that our âaverageâ is your âAâ
#is that true? Yep I was shocked when I heard this in a different post but a Google search pulls up a ton of sites backing this up. Shit son I woulda passed College Algebra with an A in the UK. And I spent the end of the semester in perpetual fear that I would fail and have to retake the class.
And basically as an American youâre expected to get 80 or higher. Technically 70s are considered âaverageâ but there is such a level of pressure to get a B or higher, that Cs have become equal to Ds. Basically anything under 60 you might as well gotten a 0, and anything between 60-80 is considered practically failing. So basically schools have to be designed to make sure majority of students are getting 80s or higher on specific topics, which means youâre spending all your time going over a few choice facts a billion times and there is very little room to teach anything else. Which explains why American schools are of such low quality. The insane demand on the students ends up wrecking their education. Not only do you not have time to teach them anything, but they end up hating learning. Even outside of school your life is dedicated to memorizing these few dumb facts because your homework ends up taking hours of your time. A teacher from one subject says they expect you to spend 2 hours every night on their homework. And if youâre studying 5 subjects and they all demand that 2 hours? Good fucking luck, because if you donât have straight all 80s or higher youâre not getting into a good college and college degrees have somehow become the minimum requirement for getting jobs.
I spent most of my junior year of high school in a state of constant panic that I was going to get a C in Honors Physics much less fail the class. If I got a C on my report card, I was grounded until the next one. I lost count of the times Iâd wake up at five in the morning to take the early bus to go in for zero hour before school actually started for the day
File this under the exact reason so many Americans detest going to school.
This. All of this. Now add to that a set of parents who look at an all A+ report card (save for one subject) and ALL they can focus on is how *horrible* it is that youâre âslippingâ in Biology for having an A-. #true story

Youâre not a stranger. Youâre one of us. Thatâs the best part about all of this. Having a community. A group of friends that gave up an entire weekend to help a kid that theyâve never met, just because they know that on some level, weâve all been through the same thing. Because weâre family.
