Been obsessed with Kanha since I was 7,

Born into a Punjabi Sikh family but never felt connected to Sikhism the way I did to Hinduism

Anxiety issues since the age of 14

Born vegetarian, never vaped, never drank and never will, hardcore introvert

Never been to a mandir cuz of my Sikh family

Never dated anyone and don’t plan to because I coudn’t find someone who met my standards.

he will isolate you from the rest when you get closer to him, he will remove your incessant need to be close to humans

He will ensure you think about him in every second of the day

When you eat he’ll remind you to offer him first

he will come in your dream and not let you remember what the dream was but you will have his name on your tongue when you wake up

He will make you stop finding human men attractive and when you do your brain instantly compares their fickle beauty to that of the Madanmohana

he will make you procrastinate so you can lay in bed and think of him and only him, you don’t want to stop thinking of him for even a second

Mannmohan, he is named, aptly.

He's a child and you're holding him in your arms and he has big eyes and his mouth is open and his cheeks are red and he's laughing so easily. He's telling his friends a new plan to go and steal makhan. He just smote a monster. He's a target for death. He owns death.

He's a teen and his hair is longer and luscious, and his lips are pink and his eyelashes are so long, the way his voice hasn't even cracked during puberty is wonderful and laughable in the same breath. He's walking away from the only home he knows and he's watching as people cry for him, beg him to return so they may always shower him with love and pamper him. He just killed his uncle. He's a usurper. Everything belongs to him.

He's a man and he's so beautiful even the brightest stars and the most beautiful flowers are envious of him. His cheeks are full, his eyes are big and his shoulders are broad, he holds himself like he is a king rather than a shepherd. He's making bets with his friend and his brother as to who will win the marathon they're planning. He can summon the deadliest weapon in the universe. He's Dangerous. He's protective.

He's a man and his chest rises and falls as he looks at the woman he loves and he is a god but he worships her. He will wear the colours she likes and he will play the tunes she loves, if only to see her smile. He has a crown on his head. He bows down and lets her step on his knees to help her up the chariot. He's a kidnapper. He's a rescuer.

He's a father and he holds his son in his arms for a moment and something makes him laugh. Spring comes as he is happy. His hair curls as if smiling too and his eyes are warm and his hands are tight on the infant. He will lose his child. His child will always be a part of him.

He's a man, a family man, as he stands on the battlefield. His hand is raised and it has scars and it shows the years which he has fought and won. He has a chariot wheel in his hand, lifting it up easily and fury burns in his dark eyes and power rushes through his veins instead of mere mortal blood. Another man is kneeling at his feet, begging for another wish. He wants to kill. He gives another chance.

no one talks about kanha’s suffering, the fact that he gives his devotees whatever they want, the fact that he married 16000 princesses on the spot, him constantly dividing himself so his wives can feel happy, he had to watch his kids die and then his entire city die, everyone asks where is Krishna but no one asks how is krishna

When did you guys realize that oh shi I’m actually bi. Because my first crush on a girl was in fifth grade but for years I just thought I “admired her because she was so cool”. Only like a year ago did I actually come to terms with it. Even when I look at the lgbt community I guess I never really felt like a part of it. For me it was something I support but never thought I was included in it. Tbh it’s because my sexuality is not a huge part of me per se and I never really consumed a lot of queer content or had those discussions. It was just a tiny part of my life and I guess I always knew I was bi but it was so normal to me I never rlly cared

true but I meant in a casting sense in terms of movies. I think fair skinned actors can portray shyama rlly well too but what I would do to see a dark skinned Shyam. His name literally means black like cmon now guyssss

My shyama ranga madhava you have captivated me in a sense that it has made all men look unattractive in my eyes,

For once I have tasted your perfection even the most handsome and desirable men have lost all attraction for me.

I cry thinking of your beautiful dark skinned with your almond shaped eyes that are ever compassionate yet humbling with your red lips curved up in a smile.

My kanha you are kameshwara the origin of all Kama, O origin of desire, I desire you

I know you burn for me and I cannot burn you because I already have you and you already have me.

We can never be deprived of love for each other as I love you and you love me

My devotion, fear, love, and everything blends together when it comes to you

The person I hate the most

I used to hate thinking of him. To me for a long time Krishna was an arrogant god that liked making his devotees suffer while he enjoyed the luxuries of life with laxmi by his side. Even when you look at him….to me he was a spoiled rich kid who has never suffered and simply cannot related to lowly creatures like us humans. What are we to him

I did not feel like he had that quality which makes you want to worship him…but at the same time I couldn’t get him out of my head. He is unlike any other Hindu god to me. When I think of Hanuman he’s my protector. When I think of mahadev he’s my father. But Krishna….when I thought of Krishna he was my everything. But I hated him from the bottom of my heart.

To me he was a distant god, The concept of Gaudiya Vaishnavism was primarily what fueled my disregard for him. This concept of be his servant, you’ll get punished if you think of him and Radha seperately, give up everything for him, without radha you cannot reach him. I remember when I was 13 I would just cry and wish why is it so hard to have just him…I don’t want anyone or anything else along with him I want HIM. I thought he would never love me back because I can’t worship radha and so I disregarded him for years

Only recently when I dived into his relation with Arjuna did I think Krishna is not just someone who is a distant god above humanity. Krishna’s love for Arjuna humanized him for me and showed me his care for humans. From there as I thought of him more and more I realized the perception I’ve had of him was wrong. He’s not a distant privileged god in fact he’s the god that sacrifices the most for us. He’s the one that comes on earth again and again….not Brahma…not shiva…but him. He’s the one that reciprocates whatever love you impose on him whether it’s parents , siblings or lover. He’s the one who is open minded and accepting and wouldn’t judged you for struggling with hyper sexuality. Something that you simply can’t think of with figures parents and pious figures like mahadev, Ganesh, Hanuman.

For me the realization that I don’t HAVE to follow him the way gaudiya vaishnavas say….the fact that the relationship between me and him belongs only to us…that I don’t HAVE to worship him with Radha. That I can be single focused and have him the way I want. That is what made me fall in love with him truly after years not as a god to be afraid of but one I want to cherish
