ksxtristan:
every since the incident that happened at the school, it was easy to say that tristan hadn’t seen as much of his friends around campus as he usually did. with hansol in hospital, only recently released, and thew few others scattering home for the time they could– and then miyoung, the younger female he hadn’t seen in a while. he’d tried contacting before, but he had a feeling he’d need to reach out to her himself were her to really get her to talk to him. but today he’s on his way back from helping out at the cafe, hardly looking where he’s going because the campus is so deserted right now, when he feels another figure bump into him momentarily. when tristan looks down and see miyoung, the girl he’d just been thinking about seeing, he smiles softly, his more gentles smiles and especially so at the look on her face. “it’s fine.” his reply is short for the moment. “don’t force yourself to make that face if you can’t.” is all he says then in reply to her smile, his eyes soft. “i’ve been worried abour you, mimi, but i’m glad to see you now.”
Maybe because her guard hasn’t been up as it usually is, or perhaps it’s been the long term friendship they’ve had over the years but Tristan reads her so easily, it alarms her. Even when she had been jealous of him, she would never let him see that side of her. She laughs nervously, genuinely unsure how to even reply momentarily. “Aha, oppa...” She weakly smiles, his smile looks so bright - just like then. It makes her heart feel warm, perhaps she should just come clean but her pride doesn’t let her. “What are you talking about? I’m fine.” She promptly smiles, her usual beam and even does a twirl. “I’m really glad to see you too, you have no idea.” But deep down, she was secretly wishing he could go away as soon as possible, she needed her alone time so badly but something keeps her rooted. Maybe a little longer, she tells herself. Tristan is a tall figure, but Miyoung reaches up to touch the side of his face. “What happened to you on that day? I was so worried the whole time, I thought I left you for dead. I’m really sorry, Trissy oppa.” Her voice softened as she recounted that day, a scar that taught her to never take things for granted and perhaps, she did take Tristan for granted. She had been so caught up with her own woes, she forgot to ask how her childhood friend how he was. It takes her half of whatever strength she has to hold back making an ugly face then, as a what if floats into her mind.
