My hidden room as a child
sometimes I’m reminded that there are still people who don’t know ao3 was literally created by incest shippers — and the site’s sole purpose is to 1. be completely against censorship and 2. host all kinds of dark, taboo fics that are banned on other platforms — and the first ever fic that was posted on ao3 was a fic about an incest ship from supernatural.
you are in the house that was created by freaks. for freaks (affectionate). every disgusting thing you can think of is rightfully allowed and welcomed on ao3, because they are exactly the reasons why ao3 was created in the first place.
ao3 was created because its creators got tired of censorship, they got tired of dark and taboo fics getting banned on pro-censorship platforms, and they wanted a place that was safe for ALL FICS THAT WERE DARK AND TABOO.
ao3’s main principle is being against censorship and being proship / profic.
there are some things in fiction that make me uncomfortable, but instead of shaming people who are just minding their own business and not harming anyone in real life, I choose to curate my own internet experience by blocking/muting what I don’t want to see. ao3 has excellent tagging system, so instead of being a bitch, use their tagging system properly and you won’t see the things you don’t want to see.
it’s your job to curate what you see. it’s not other people’s jobs or responsibilities to censor themselves for your personal comfort. the world does not revolve around you.
also you cannot censor “only the things you personally hate” without expecting everything else, that isn’t of conservative beliefs, to be censored too. because censorship is a slippery slope and a fascist tool. I promise you there are people who think “why do tags for queer love even exist on ao3? they’re grooming children”.
if you allow the things that you hate to be censored — because someone with enough power gets to control what other people can and cannot create/consume, it will not stop at the things that you hate.

Ways To Show a Character Is Terrified
Everyone writes shaking hands and racing hearts. Those are fine. But fear often shows up in unexpected ways.
Here are some quick writing tips for writing a terrified character (without saying "they were terrified").
• They suddenly become very polite (fawn response)
• They start explaining things no one asked about (changing subject)
• They laugh once when no one else does.
• They keep glancing at the door like they’re measuring the distance
• They agree too quickly
• They hold perfectly still like they don't want to draw attention
• They start noticing extremely small details in the room
• They talk slower than usual, choosing every word carefully
• They disassociate and become unresponsive
• They try to sound reasonable when no one else is being reasonable
• They swallow before every sentence
• They weigh every consequence before speaking
• They keep their hands where everyone can see them (hands in their pockets)
• They cross their arms and/or avoid eye contact
• They frequently make eye contact with a familiar person
• They thank someone who clearly doesn’t deserve it
Those are some quick tips. Reblog if you want more. Idk if people like these. <3

Ways To Show a Character Is Lying
Everyone writes: “They avoided eye contact.”
Let's do something a little different.
Here are some quick ways to show a character is lying (without saying "lie"):
• Answering the wrong part of the question
• Giving way more detail than anyone asked for
• Acting offended instead of answering
• Correcting a tiny, irrelevant detail in the conversation
• Asking you a question immediately after being asked one (deflection)
• Pausing just long enough that the response feels orchestrated
• Overexplaining something simple
• Texting an answer then deleting it
• Saying “to be honest” or “if I’m being honest”
• Avoiding eye contact (or making eye contact with someone else)
• Laughing like the conversation is suddenly very funny
• Getting oddly specific about the timing of things
• Or their story leaves out details
• Abruptly changing the subject (or quietly steering it away)
Those are some quick tips. Reblog if you want more. Idk if people like these. <3
Anyways, good lies aren't super dramatic revelations. Sometimes they sound normal, just normal enough that the reader feels something is... 'off', but they can't prove it.
Leave a breadcrumb or two of doubt. They might just connect the dots!

Tech : *deep sigh*

a party of adventurers that are all equally convinced that they are in completely different forms of media
the mage keeps giving smug glances in the direction they assume a camera is in. the fighter keeps getting indignant about missing attacks because of "bad dice rolls." the rogue is doubtful that a villain is gone for good because "nobody ever stays dead in comics." the paladin attributes fortune to "good rng." none of them have even considered that "tumblr post" was an option
probably a controversial opinion but I think screenshotting someone else’s fic and posting it elsewhere because it’s “obviously ai” is also harmful to the writing community you’re trying to protect. because
every single time I see these posts, there are always writers who say “this looks like how I write” and “what if my works sound like ai”. it’s discouraging to genuine writers to see a screenshot of a fic that is “obviously ai” and then wonder if their own human-made works “look like ai” too. it’s discouraging to genuine writers to have to live in constant fear and worry if someone will screenshot their human-made fics and put them on blast for being “obviously ai” too.
no matter how “obviously ai” a fic looks, unless the author says they use ai, you can never know for absolute certainty that it’s ai. you assume. based on vibes. and there’s always a chance of you wrongly accusing a genuine, innocent writer and encouraging people to harass them. “real humans don’t write like this” do you know literally every single human being to say for absolute certainty that none of them write like the machine that was trained on millions of human-made works to look and sound like humans? “most people can tell” no, no one can tell unless authors disclose their use of ai. most people guess. based on vibes. every ai telltale is something humans actually write, otherwise ai would never have been able to mimic it in the first place. short sentence stacking? some people prefer it as a stylistic choice. “not x, not y, but z” type of sentence? people have been using this for ages, way before gen ai became a thing. I’ve been using it in my writing for almost a decade, way before gen ai became a thing. em dash? you mean proper grammar? not to mention how often people who are autistic and people whose native language isn’t english are wrongly accused of using ai in their fics because “real humans don’t like write that” — it’s super offensive and harmful.
even if someone says they use ai, the right thing to do is to not read their fics and leave them alone if it bothers you. I don’t like ai fics. I don’t agree with people who let ai write for them. but I will always condemn harassment. no matter what. also not to mention, if you harass someone for being honest about using ai and tagging their fics as such, chances are that they will stop tagging their future ai-generated fics as ai, meaning no one can know for sure if the fics are ai, meaning it’s impossible for anyone to filter them out. if you want to be able to effectively avoid ai fics by filtering them out, you’ll have to make sure people who use ai are comfortable enough to be honest about it.
I also want to say that no one “writes like ai”. it’s the other way around. ai writes like human, because that’s what it was trained to do. saying a human-made fic “reads like ai” is saying a work looks like its copycat.
last but not least, harassment, accusations, speculations and witch hunt harm the writing community as much as ai does. if not more.
The best part is that everything is half off lol.
I can't stop reading"double entendre" as "double entree"
So, apparently I was reported falsely for a phishing scam. I was told I had to contact Tumblr's support Discord. I'm just gonna give everyone a heads up in case Tumblr nukes my account and everything else with it. I won't be able to make another either.
My Twitter is the same handle, "kurokrisps".
For security... is this a scam?
actually fucking disgusting that glasses cost any money like if you actually think about it for more than a few seconds it is so unconscionably inhumane. this goes for things like insulin and mobility aids and hearing aids too ofc but fuck man, fucking glasses? the thing you need to fucking see? its genuinely sickening and inhumanly evil that those cost ANYTHING.
HOLY HELL PREACH BROTHA!
I think this applies to feminine products too. Paying money for necessary products like pads and tampons is absolutely ridiculous. I can’t help it if I bleed once a month, it’s how my body works. Damn.
I had to make this XD
