This was inspired by two things: 

1- I’m a bisexual woman dating a cis straight man. That doesn’t make me straight, and that doesn’t make my relationship a straight one. That doesn’t mean I belong less in the LGBT+ community than a gay person. 

2- The fourth example was not a joke. I’m in a fandom where two genderless entities with a temporary human shape are paired together. I’ve seen artists get hate because they drew them “looking straight”. The characters are still non-binary, still in love, STILL NOT STRAIGHT. Do not allow this toxic rhetoric in your fandom. Protect artists. 

**Note– Forgot I meant to add aro and ace in there, sorry, but this TOTALLY INCLUDES ARO AND ACE PEOPLE.

THERE IS NO HIERARCHY OF WHAT IS MORE ACCEPTABLE IN THE LGBT+ COMMUNITY.

Participating in kink is like getting a tattoo

• It may be a physically painful process, but the “injured” party still has control and is getting something out of it.

• One should not get tattooed while intoxicated (or other situations that would impair judgement.)

• Only adults should get tattoos (related to the above point.)

• It’s worth doing research to find a tattoo parlor/artist that you can trust and whose style matches what you’re looking for, rather than jumping at the first ad you see.

• Before starting, the tattoo artist and the client need to discuss the expected result. The design, location, size, and color(s) of the finished tattoo are all decided before inking starts.

• There are basic safety rules that should be followed to avoid unnecessary scarring or infection.

• Aftercare is required. (OK, there’s a slightly different meaning as tattoo aftercare is more things the client has to do by themselves after going home, but the general point still holds.)

For context: NY Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham, the player that is crying, was brought to tears after seeing a teammate, linebacker Johnathon Casillas, sustain a pretty scary neck injury.

The player consoling him is the Giants Punter, Brad Wing. The two are close friends and were teammates both in college at LSU and then professionally on the Giants.

Odell is one of the best wide receivers in the league right now, potentially of all time, and a bunch of toxic men that did nothing with their lives won’t even let him have human emotion. Imagine what they do to each other.
