I decided to put all my language-learning resources in one place. Hope these help. So far I've brought together my resources for Norwegian, Japanese, Korean, and Louisiana Creole French.

Honestly, being friends with native speakers of a different language helps so much to pull me back from the edge. I get so fixated on certain things that my brain just forgets that I’m learning a new skill and I have to take my time. 😭

Procrastinación es mi enemigo. Hacer estas pequeñas anotaciones en el diario realmente me está ayudando.
Tuve una conversación con un amigo de Colombia y fue prácticamente todo en español. Me divertí, pero depender constantemente de las aplicaciones de traducción que utilizo fue... molesto. Mi nivel de español es muy extraño. Sé lo «suficiente» para desenvolverme pero en cuanto una conversación se vuelve más compleja es difícil.
Siento que estoy haciendo estas super triste. Pero sinceramente lo estoy haciendo mejor. Me encanta hacer estos💕

Looked up using “relajar” vs “relajarse” on Google Translate. Most of it made sense: I relax = me relajo; we are relaxing = estamos relajándonos; etc. Until I got to this: the rules are relaxing = las regalas son relajantes: “relajantes”? Couldn’t find this anywhere on spanishdict for relajar or relajarse. But the muscles are relaxing = los músculos se relajan (makes sense). Only non-reflexive I could come up with was: I relax the muscle = relajo el musculo (but couldn't it be your own?) :)
Yeah that's a bit of a weird one for me; I think the result is wrong
relajante is "relaxing" as an adjective, as in el baño relajante "the relaxing bath"... it means "relaxing" in the sense of "it relaxes (someone)"
It should be las reglas se van relajando "the rules are being relaxed", or something like relajar las reglas "to relax the rules"
I think that's a mistranslation

In general though relajar is "to relax", often "to relax someone else" or "to ease"
And relajarse is "for someone to relax" [or in passive "for something to be relaxed", like relajarse las reglas "for the rules to become relaxed"]
relajante means "relaxing" in the sense of "sedating" or "calming" like a calming effect

As far as "I relax the muscle", it would generally be me relajo el músculo "I relax my muscle" more literally "I relax myself the muscle"
The reflexive is when subject and object are the same; generally your body parts are already assumed to be yours so the reflexive clears that up. It's similar to me lavo las manos "I wash my hands" which is literally "I wash myself the hands"
You could potentially say relajo el músculo (a alguien) "I relax (someone else's) muscle" but that would probably be more medical or chiropractic and not commonplace
In general the objects show "ownership" of the body part, even in indirect objects me duele la garganta "my throat hurts" is actually "it hurts (me) the throat"
I think it's possible to say me relaja el músculo "it relaxes my muscle", or more commonly plural like los termales me relajan los músculos "the hot springs relax my muscles" or el agua caliente me relaja "the hot water relaxes me" but this is an indirect object rather than a reflexive
A reflexive again is subject and object being the same like me relajo "I relax" or me relajo los músculos "I relax my muscles"
this is not exactly what's being asked but thought it could be of interest to you all! the only non-reflexive use of relajar i can think of is in the puerto rican sense, in which relajar is a synonym of burlarse de. (te estaba relajando = i was messing with you) here's the definition from diccionario de americanismos:
tr. RD, PR. Hacer burla o mofa de algo o de alguien. pop + cult → espon.
its noun form is relajo (as opposed to relajamiento / relajación as the noun for the traditional sense of relajar). here's another definition, this time from tesoro lexicográfico de puerto rico:
Broma, falta de respeto, depravación, choteo. “Coger todas las cosas de relajo,” que es como decir ‘coger todas las cosas en broma’.

I think my biggest problem in studying languages is actually study them.
I picked this hobby wich needs consistency in order to learn something, but probably I should have learnt "how to consistency" ... before.
oh how i miss the french language and how sad it makes me how much i've forgotten. today a french lady came at the store i work and i was in the register, but because all the people around and the nerves i almost didn't get to speak a full sentence to her.
mind you, i started learning french when i was 4 and stopped at 18. i should be able to hold a conversation, i should be able to explain to the lady how to use the auto check out.
it just makes me so mad how i got to the point of almost hating the language, and wanting to completely drop it because of the teachers i had in high school. they were horrible and made me dread french classes. it's just so fucked up how much teachers can affect you in that way.
i know some day i'll make peace with the language, and will start to study it again, or at least to try to remember the basics. i spent so many years of my life learning it that i refuse to let them have the power of making me hate it.
