In which my various thoughts and personal projects are placed for your mocking pleasure, or something. Just a trans woman who writes about stuff and is more or less an open book.
She/her, and I'm nearly 40 so I'm too old to be puritanical about my posts.
First things first! HRTCafe.net has valuable information for how to DIY your HRT if you feel so inclined or lack the option for medical access. Link will be up here for permanent, easy access.
This is a post to list links to my posts of youtube playlists for my gaming backlog playthroughs that I started this year. I'll also list what the next/current game is on this post.

worth reading the entire thing. has some really good thoughts on why transitioning is worth it even in this day and age + when you're older, and is also genuinely wonderful
Non-canon tangent episode! Because I drew a Pride comic last year and literally just forgot to post it anywhere. ^^;
Happy Pride, everyone! Stay safe, stay happy, stay healthy!🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
I have a wild idea. what if we supported our claims of fact by linking to a reliable source. better yet, what if we went hogwild and just straight up linked to the actual unpaywalled study
Well, I finally settled on a deck for regionals. This is my Green White Breach deck centered around two very famously loyal fellows. I'll explain my choices below, but suffice it to say that much of the design is built to address the common elements of the modern meta of the Gundam Card game while not fully adopting the strongest tools of the meta myself.
So this deck is built on a combination of White's defensive capabilities and Green's use of High Maneuver, Breach, and the token generation potential that Zeong and Justice bring to overwhelm the opponent while being able to handle some amount of removal. Wufei allows every breach unit to take out or scare off weaker blockers, with his specific Gundams being able to tear through the walls of blocker focused decks. As for Char, he provides token generation on the Zeong and Char's Zaku, allowing for the ability to trade with aggro to keep units off their board without sacrificing my own board presence. Additionally, green Char can bypass blockers completely to put damage exactly where it needs to go, while Quattro can shore up blockers or strengthen breach units to maximize each units survivability.
Blockers are the backbone of the deck's midgame, but aggression is the goal of the deck in general. Thus, while Rick Dias is threatened by many 3 damage ping cards, the extra point of damage makes it an often scary thing to swing into while also allowing it to trade into bigger units that need to be removed. The reason for only 2 copies each of Graceful Demeanor and Overflowing Affection is that the deck really doesn't always need them. Graceful is extremely useful for anti-aggro situations, but very limited in fights with high level decks. Bouncing enemies is a double-edged sword and since the card can only be used in the action phase, it's not always a useful offensive tool unless it can be paired with High Maneuver. Overflowing is most valuable for searching for specific answers, but the discard element of the card is an actual detriment for this deck. Standard draw would be preferable, but we don't have that in this deck, so Overflowing is a valid substitute since it's cheap. We want to use every card we draw if possible, so Overflowing is a special tool that might help but isn't ideal.
Now, why am I using the level 2 6 HP base in this deck compared to other options? The reality of the situation is that both aggro decks that vomit a bunch of 2/2 vanillas on turn 2 and 3 as well as breach deck mirror matches (especially Wing Zero) are real threats to this deck style. Mirror matches concern me most with this deck at the moment, and having 6 HP for the base is so much better than 5 HP right now that none of the 5 HP bases offer anything that really makes up for losing a whole base to Wing or Pharact. As for why the level 2 base instead of Peacemillion, only one of my cards can benefit from Peacemillion, so it's not worth waiting so many turns to play it manually if I draw it. And if you are wondering why there's only one Altron Gundam in the deck, that's because I only own one.
I have higher hopes for the deck than I probably should, but honestly, I've come to terms with the fact that I'll probably lose a ton of games and fail to even earn one extra promo card. But regardless of that, I am still going to try. I've never participated in something like a card game regional in my life despite being 40 and a fan of TCGs for as long as they've existed. I've had some recent emotional struggles and reassessment of my sense of self, and maybe I'm just trying to embrace a bit of that "move forward, you gain two" philosophy in a few areas of my life. I think it's time to finally start embracing the desire to feel beautiful and strong, and a lot of that is about attitude. The strength to try your best, fail miserably, and get back up and try again is something I know I have buried inside, and it's time for me to pull it free from the deep.
Basically my primary frustration with a lot of mainstream left-ish framings of trans issues is the treatment of trans rights as a concession they're making to be nice, rather than a principled stance grounded in a real, material understanding of the world.
It leads to this attitude of being vaguely embarrassed to support trans people, which crumbles when Right Wing Dipshit Pundit #33145 starts going on about "harsh truths" that a competent advocate could call out for being incorrect.
"You are transphobic" as an argument by itself is a lot weaker than "You are demonstrably, unambiguously wrong about this issue. You have reached an incorrect conclusion despite having all the information needed to be correct, because you'd rather be transphobic than right."
