I do not. (Besides penicillin.) I can confidently say I'm probably one of the least sneezy people in all of snzblr. I'm trying to track it now, because I'm a big ol geek and I love visual data 🤓, but I'm currently up to 14 days since the last time I sneezed ... and that one was induced. I shall post the final report when all the data is in. 😅

To those of you with the kink but also some intense germophobia... how much does it suck when your partner is unidentifiably sneezy. Like... are you the plague bringer? Is this the start of 1-2 weeks of misery for the household? Do I need to start sanitizing like my life depends on it? Should I cringe a little when you sneeze because I can literally see the germy contagiousness spreading over everything in your general vicinity, no matter how much of a considerate coverer you are?

Or... are you just dealing with allergies? Am I free to thoroughly enjoy this (in my own head, because of course I've never admitted it to you out loud, that's crazy talk) because there is no possibility of contagion to spiral over? Can I just listen and admire and try to seem totally cool, calm, and collected when I toss a casual "bless you" your way? Even though internally I am squealing at a pitch with a frequency imperceptible to most living beings?

HELLO!! It's my birthday, which means...welcome to the official demo for Sternutation Incantation! This is a sneak peek at the Choose-Your-Own Snzfic project I've been working on for about two years now!

The Story

Sternutation Incantation encompasses one day at Willownook Academy of Arcane Arts. A magical university tucked in a dense woodland, while still taking place in modern day. It’s a fresh spin on a beloved magic school trope (but this one is told by a trans person of color)! Collect items, unlock secret endings, and customize your day in the life as a wizard! The demo contains 9 routes, and is 12,000 words long all told!

Meet the Characters

Thomas: A human evocation wizard with a knack for flying broom athletics! He's not the sharpest tool in the shed, but he makes up for it with charisma...and a lot of questions.

Mycah: A tiefling conjuration wizard and a textbook nerd. He would much rather be studying for an exam than getting into trouble, especially with his allergies and sinus issues.

Reader: That's right, you! Yes, you. The reader is implied to be a transmutation wizard in this setting. They take the occasional risk, have a soft spot for helping others, and are a wizard of few words.

Lately I’ve been thinking about the ✨ little groan ✨ that sometimes precedes a thank you. Let me explain!

Person A sneezes once.

B (a partner or friend): Bless you.

A: Thank you.

Not long after that person A sneezes again, maybe even more forcefully or multiple times.

B: Bless you!

A: Ugh. Thanks.

That little ✨ ugh ✨- maybe even coupled with a grimace or an eye roll - is everything to me. Maybe it’s allergies and A knows it’s only going to get worse from here. Or they have already spent the better part of the day sneezing. Or they have a cold they just can’t shake. Either way, the one small noise conveys so much exhaustion and annoyance plus a hint of apology and I just love it!
