Kul (he/they) - Starter was Niv the Snivy, he does lotsa art and research stuff, i think he helps or is learning how to work for professers?? super cool
Justice (he/him) - Starter was Zen the Cyndaquil - the one writing this im the coolest! I do photography and lots of battling!

Works alongside Pokémon leagues and pokerangers to keep routes maintained, explore areas to determine if they’re safe for trainers (and if so what level), and make sure the natural ecosystem is as undesterbed as possible - generally a bit of everything!

((Hi I’m Kin I go by he/him or they/them! I’m just here to have a fun chill time~
I’m actually super new to rp so if I miss a cue or make a blunder please be kind in letting me know, I’m learning by doing ahh.
The chars have jobs and such and I may use own knowledge of like animals and nature to help but I do not work in any field they do so excuse inaccuracies- feel free to rp correct them like “oh hey this new study came out” or if it’s a char who just doesn’t know stuff much -cough justice cough- flat out correct them aha
Formatting is a huge wip, lore is slowly being pieced together but some bits may be retconned as I decide on what I wanna do (already thinkin Nix should be a kitten not a torracat, gotta change that), I’m pretty sure I spelled some Pokémon species name wrong I’ll fix it later
Eventually I’ll draw and add in pics for what each char looks like and -maybe- team pics?? But def wanna get designs for the chars.
Also wanna get more concrete descriptions of the Pokémon teams, personalities and such, if only for myself to keep track of. Some I know by heart bc they’re already ocs, but others need to be fleshed out!))

of note, the target audience for this is mainly folks who are like "i am interested in this whole thing but have no idea where to start." if you have been in it for a while and are comfortable with what you're doing, this probably won't be especially useful to you—you might find something useful in the section where i beg you to enable a custom theme, or the currently in-progress extra resources where i share some generators i thought were neat, but otherwise it's just going to be a lot of rehashing of shit you already know and do.
still, i hope this is useful to some people!!! i tried to focus on logistics because truthfully i haven't been involved in the whole pkmn irl thing for that long, and didn't want to speak too authoritatively on How It Works, but i sure have been using this hellsite for over a decade so i at least know how to get your blog done and how to search tags lmfao
How are any of us not dead by now. We live in a world with oversize mice that can fry us like a French fry, not to mention the literal GODS that have no reason to keep usalong. How are we still alive???

in grass types this sort of hybrid occurs the same way as a hybrid would occur in plants: one pokemon will flower and be pollinated by the other, w/ the offspring retaining the species of the flowering pokemon.
Ooc: noticed something a bit different about this community than other ic rp ones I've been in?
There's a tendency to tag and warn for unreality, when roleplay has generally (i say this loosely) not needed that kind of warning in the past. I completely get it with large blogs that breach containment a lot, but smaller blogs tagging their every ic rp post with unreality seems to be a little pointless, imo?
It makes it hard for people who very genuinely need that tagging, but still want to participate in roleplay. There's a difference between roleplaying as a character in an established universe and saying untrue things that make people question reality. Dilutes the purpose and usefullness of the tag, ig? Like when people would tag scopophobia on any image with eyes in it
Tagging posts as ic or pkmn rp would probably serve better? If you want a warning on every post. Having something in your blog title, description, or pinned that denotes the blog is an ic rp blog/ask blog is more than enough though in my experience. And recognising that what you are doing *is* roleplaying as a pokemon character, instead of using the phrase 'pretending pokemon are real' would probably help too. Cuz then there's precedent to write rules pages and stuff, which tend to make things go nicer
Idk, I've known schizophrenic people who participate in roleplay, because they know that's what it is, and this method of doing things would alienate them. In character roleplay blogs are an old tradition on tumblr, but the way these circles go about it is as if it's something new or dangerous? Which, i know people are just doing what they think is best to take care of people, and i don't mean any of this with malice. I also acknowledge that pokemon has a younger leaning fanbase, so there's more precautions to be taken. Still, I'm not sure this is the way to do it
Let me know what you think though, I'm completely open to different takes on this. I'm not schitzospec, and I've only been roleplaying on tumblr for a few years

i am schizospec and i do feel alienated from being literally locked out of so many peoples blogs because of this. i cannot interact with most people and im at a point where i rely entirely on anons for anything to do at all. im fine with only ever answering asks- but i think a different tag would be MUCH better for everyone. theres more than one way to say its just pretend.
