Lizzie has been forced into this perfect bubble her entire life and her world all but ends when she's thrown into a death prison for something that's not her fault, and the only two people she has are a lost princess and a solider at his breaking point. Max is her best friend who's mr.perfect but is secretly part of the biggest rebellion ever while trying to live up to his family's insane expectations. Halley is his sister who is also part of this rebellion and would do anything for her brother, and their mother is a famous VAL pilot with a huge secret and ties to Apotolesman royalty.

And then there's Soren who only got involved in all of this because she accidentally she discovered she had shadow powers at age eleven and someone thought that she would make a really good spy so now she's here with all of these idiots while simultaneously trying to create world peace but she's also just a seventeen year-old girl with a raging crush on mr.sexy pilot man with tattoos except he's lowkey her coworker and she caught him writing heated top gun x rivalry fanfiction once.

I love the found family vibes with Rampion Crew. A lot of these kids are only children. But they each kind of had someone. Cinder had Iko. Kai had his dad and Scarlet her grandmother. Winter and Jacin had each other and Wolf, up until twelve had his family.

Throne didn’t really have anyone on his side. He pretended to not care on the pod ride with Kai but he cared the most which hurts even more.
