So I used to make moodboards and I kinda wanna again!

tommy is a gardener

he likes to plant flowers where they naturally grow and claim it wasnt him. he likes to pretend someone else planted the flowers outside his house. it is much better for someone to smile at flowers than at him.

smiles are terrifying little things, dont you think? two eyes and a mouth, working together to create something. he never quite likes it when his body works together, when it has one singular goal.

he always has a list. the list must be long, he must have a long list. a long list of things to do. never one singular goal. he had a single goal when he went there. he must never again.

1. plant more tulip bulbs 2. stop by snowchester to give him some carrots (for michael) 3. rearrange the picture wall 4. maybe read. can he read? can he write? do his two eyes even see? does his mouth even speak?

he naturally smiles when he talks. he stops talking.

tubbo tells him its okay. actually, tubbo does not tell him anything at all. tubbo tells michael that sometimes, people must become different. that michael can still talk, because his voice is sweet, but tommy doesnt have a sweet tooth anymore. so tommy speaks less.

michael asks if someone can help him learn to write. tommy brings him extra carrots. more than his small farm can even grow.

tommy brings him carrots, foolish builds him a house, tubbo teaches him things, ranboo is always there for him.

it takes a village to raise a child.

he grows all his own food, lmanburg is blown up, where is his father, where is his mother.

Demisexual “So you mean a normal person?” Don’t hate on things you don’t understand.

Person: What’s demisexuality?

Demisexual: It means you don’t get attracted to people unless there’s an emotional bond.

Person: Oh, so like, a normal person?

Demisexual: Actually, no, although I can see how you’d think that. Most people don’t have sex with people unless they have an emotional bond with them but that’s not really to do with sexuality, that’s just staying safe and having common sense.

’Normal’ people, although not intending to sleep with someone right away, still know, usually, whether they would be interested in doing that within a short amount of time, sometimes immediately. People come up to me and say “You’re attractive, can I have your number?” after just seeing me from across a bar. They’ve never spoken to me, don’t know who I am but still found me attractive and are thus interested in getting to know me more to see if they’d like to start a relationship.

Demisexuals don’t experience that. We don’t see underwear adverts and find the actors desirable. We don’t look at someone from across a room and think “they’re hot, I wonder if they’re single”. ‘Sex sells’ goes over our heads. Dating apps where you swipe pictures across the screen are useless. We literally don’t get attracted to people that quickly.

Person: Oh, I see. So it’s not just being picky or abstaining from sex, it’s literal lack of attraction?

Demisexual: Yes, you’ve got it.

Person: That must make dating difficult.

Demisexual: It does. Many of us are interested in dating but are limited to people we know emotionally. If someone asks for my number I then have to say to them ‘can we be friends for roughly two to three years, by then I should know whether I find you physically attractive and if I do we can start dating’. It’s sad because I don’t want to get people’s hopes up or seem like I’m leading them on. But I literally do have to know them for a while before I can get attracted to them if I do at all. It also meant growing up was a strange experience because everyone would be pointing out attractive people on TV, in magazines and when walking down the street and I just didn’t understand.

Person: Well thank you for taking the time to explain that to me. I understand now that there is a difference between abstaining from sex and actually lacking attraction.

Demisexual: No problem. It’s nice to be accepted and understood.

Demisexuals, you are real and valid. Just because people don’t understand what you go through that doesn’t mean what you go through is fake. Pride is about respecting and celebrating all sexualities and their nuances. 

You should also note that demisexuality is common among those on the autism spectrum. To deny demisexuality is not only illogical but it’s also ableism. You’re erasing people’s symptoms because its convenient for you and because you don’t understand them. 

Demisexuals just want to chill and exist. They don’t want fame and to be mollycoddled. They just want awareness and acceptance. 

Let’s not hate on people just because we don’t understand.

really heartbroken about the fact that growing up as a digital native in the age of synthetic paint mixes made it impossible for me to expierience colours for the first time as an adult. the jealousy i feel when imagining a farmer ten thousand years ago seeing cobalt for the first time when stumbling over a new flower is indescribable. i despise the chromatic uneventfulness of my life

after being upset about this for an embarrassingly long time i have decided that this injustice can only be fixed by taking my time to look at all colours one at a time and think about them as if i have never seen them before. there are no flaws in this plan

7c8de6. this colour has an echo and sounds like high synths in a distance. it tastes slightly too sour to be really sweet but still contains sugar. i enjoy it a lot. but it is hard to mix without having a proper cyan at hand. 9/10

73535b. this colour is slightly cool to the touch and emits a low humming noise. it doesn’t smell like anything but tastes a bit tingly. i was apprehensive at first but now i quite like looking at it. it required more black paint than i thought. 7/10

ae1c5e. this colour is a soft pressure on the chest. it sounds like footsteps in adjacent buildings. i gasped in joy when it appeared but looking at it for longer made a melancholic. confusingly, it contains no blue. 7/10

8aae0e. despite its appearances, this colour is inedible. when touched it’s easily crushed between your fingers and leaves a wet residue. i like greens, but this one is suspicious. contains far less blue than you might think. 6/10

Thinking about how I would interpret the various people from the Dream smp winning the elytra contest:

Tubbo: Built the wings himself. They have a certain steampunk vibe to them. Really bulky, but also really cool looking.

Tommy: Moth wings. Screw everyone who says otherwise, man is a moth hybrid. But, well, insect wings are very fragile and he’s never felt safe enough to use them until now.

Ranboo: Recently received a gift from the council. It's a rare item that can be found only in the end. They hope it'll help him remember, it probably won't.

Georgenotfound: Got gifted some wings from DreamXD. He is not sure why or when, and he's not even entirely certain they're real. He may simply still be dreaming...

Sapnap: Lava wings. They're very droopy. He hasn't been maintaining them too well, and only recently got back into taking the lava baths he needs for them regularly.

Sam: He also built his own wings. They're lava-powered and look as if they were made of obsidian. They were initially meant to be part of the guard's uniform for the prison but... well. He's the only one working there, isn't he?

Ponk: Stitched them onto themselves as a medical experiment. They don't know how to take them off now, but they seem to work?

Bad: Huge af demon wings. He's 9'6 so his wings actually have to be enormous. Only reason why he hasn't used them before is that he was afraid to hit someone with them. Turns out he does that anyway even without using them, so there's really no reason anymore.

Fundy: The bird genes from his grandpa are finally manifesting. Perhaps biology does make some sense on the smp finally!

Wilbur: Pretty sure that's just a piece of the void sticking to him. Straight up ripped a piece of Limbo and brought it with him when he came back. Just another thing he hates about himself.

Punz: He knew someone high up who owed him a favor. Don't ask.

Purpled: Alien tech! He couldn't repair his ufo entirely, and those are his best bet to get off-server while he's working on his new one. They're meant to be a temporary solution, but they're pretty cool.

Eret: Flamingo wings. Ngl, they sort of forgot they had them.

Jack Manifold: similar to Wilbur's situation, but Jack's wings are very glitched. He was too afraid to die again to try and use them, but he's got to a point now where he doesn't care too much if that actually happens.

Niki: Hand-sewn wings that she made herself. It took ages for her to find a way to make them work, but having something like that to busy herself turned out to be really rewarding.

Quackity: He's a shapeshifter. He decided to change up his features a bit. Maybe he's getting ready for a fight he's certain will happen soon, who knows...

Karl Jacobs: Acquired them at some point during his travels. Much like George he's not sure how, when, or why that happened, but he's not complaining

HBomb: The power of anime bestowed them upon him. He did a full magical girl transformation and now they're there

Techno: Crafted them himself. They're not a marvel of engineering like they would be if Tubbo or Sam created them, but more so the result of months of him studying magic and alchemy for it. They were initially meant for Phil, but he screwed up the incantation.

Phil: They're prosthetics. He had to wait a long time for them because wing prosthetics are quite an expensive and complicated thing to obtain, but finally, he has them.

Ant: There's a whole lot of myths about cats with bird wings, so I'd say Ant finally ascended to his ultimate form of big ass cat with bog ass eagle wings.

Puffy: Went on an adventure after years of not sailing the sea and found an incredible treasure. She's pirating again and it's paying off, good for her honestly.

Foolish: Totems naturally have wings. He only stopped using them as a sign of respect for the rules of the server, but he's been shackled long enough now, wouldn't you say?

Hannah: Wings of thorny vines sprouted from her back as she started healing from the Egg's influence and reconnecting with nature.

Eryn: They just had them. They're probably an avian and we just didn't know yet.

Michael: Similarly to Eryn, he's just a winged hybrid.

Slimecicle: Well, once upon a time a little slime evolved in the course of thousands of years to become a human... what do you mean humans don't have wings? Oh well... he likes them now... maybe we can make an exception for him?
