what doesnt kill you is still valuable data points for a graph im working on titled "how to kill you"
In the final weeks of World War II, as Allied forces advanced deep into Germany, the SS frantically evacuated concentration camps to hide evidence of their atrocities. Between April 6 and 10, 1945, three trains carrying roughly 2,500 Jewish prisoners each were sent away from the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp. Their intended destination was the Theresienstadt ghetto in occupied Czechoslovakia.
Many passengers on this specific train belonged to Bergen-Belsen’s “exchange” section. They were prisoners holding foreign papers or citizenship with neutral countries, kept alive by the SS as potential bargaining chips for German prisoners of war. Because of this status, they wore civilian clothes rather than striped camp uniforms.
After a grueling six-day journey with little food, water, or sanitation, the train became trapped between advancing front lines near Magdeburg. Fearing the approaching American military, the Nazi SS guards abandoned the train and fled into the night.
On Friday, April 13, 1945, a scouting mission consisting of two American tanks from the 743rd Tank Battalion and troops from the 30th Infantry Division encountered the stalled train.
The photograph, taken by US Army photographer Major Clarence L. Benjamin, captures the raw, overwhelming rush of emotions as the prisoners realized they were finally safe. In the foreground, a 35-year-old Jewish mother from Makó, Hungary, clutches the hand of her 5-year-old daughter. Her face portrays a powerful, complex mixture of relief, joy, and the lingering trauma of what they had endured. Behind them, other survivors stream up the embankment away from the train cars, smiling and weeping as they run toward their liberators.
For decades, the photograph remained a famous but anonymous symbol of Holocaust liberation. It wasn’t until 2017 that researchers and journalists from Haaretz officially confirmed the identities of the mother and daughter. The little girl survived the war, returned to Hungary, and was tracked down as an elderly woman still living there.
u gotta be careful reblogging posts cuz what if you see it drowned in water later

"omg why do you hate astrology it's just people having fun it's not that deep"
astrology: if you were born a gemini and have a scorpio moon and venus in fuck all then you're a bad person and there's nothing you can ever do about it. you just suck forever.
Astrology girlies: can you give me your date of birth? Place of birth? TIME OF BIRTH? How can you not know your time of birth? Go check your birth certificate now so can I start assuming things about.
Can I reduce your personality to one of the 12 stereotypes I've memorized? What do you mean you're not like that? Pfft you just have to take what resonates with you and ignore the rest.

people say rocky is lesser because “grace talks down to him” but that’s literally just how grace talks
Never forget that the physicians and "detransitioners" they bring to speak against trans healthcare are paid enormous sums to give false testimonies. They're not legitimate sources and shouldn't stop you from living your best life (source).
I like things that shock and affect my nervous system deeply. But things are not shocking unless they have been put into a memorable form. Once you’ve seen blood spattered against a wall a few times it’s no longer shocking. You think, well, that’s just blood splashed against a wall. It has to have something which just reverberates within your psyche and disturbs your whole life cycle. Something which affects the whole atmosphere you live in. Most of what is called art, your eye just flows over. It may be charming or nice, but it doesn’t change you. The same is often true about photos, even war photos. They are often violent, and yet it’s not enough.

grace, dizzy from malnutrition and erid's super gravity, barely coherent and meeting adrian for the first time--
Sick list of symptoms bro. Now try humanizing your behavior instead of pathologizing it.
Pathologizing: Hey sorry I yelled at you. I have this ADHD symptom called RSD that makes me really sensitive.
Humanizing: Hey, I’m sorry that I blew up like that earlier. In the moment I felt really attacked and overwhelmed and I reacted badly, but I know you didn’t mean to offend me with what you said, so that behavior is on me.
