“Trans women started pride” is a sweet sentiment meant to be appreciative of us but since 99% of people who say this are referring to Stonewall (and not like, the Compton Cafeteria Riots) it’s just not a sentiment that’s true, Stonewall was a community effort that comprised of the L, G, B, and the T and should remembered as such, and as an event that solidified our community through our shared efforts and struggle
When weirdos online say “trans people have nothing in common with us, I’ll never add the T to the LGB” the good answer is “actually, theyve always been in the same struggle we have and deserve just as much recognition, sympathy, and respect as anyone else in our community” and the really bad answer is “actually you owe everything to them because they invented the lgbt community”
