With Afghanistan crumbling under Taliban territorial gains, all I'll say is that regardless about your thoughts about how the US-led two-decade-long campaign coming to a close, I do urge you to focus on the Afghans themselves.
Because you just know how the Taliban is gonna treat folks, especially women, who haven't toed the lines of their social conservatism. And we also know how they are gonna treat anyone who has worked with the West.
Honestly, for those already stuck in Tally-controlled lands... things are probably bleak. But there are many who, if lucky, are gonna be fleeing the country (especially coalition partners). That's in the short term; in the long term, there's likely to be a wave of refugees.
But I'm not here to "WhY iS nObOdy tALkINg aBOuT tHIs"
While it's easy to just be outraged or whatever, it is also possible to do something. Even if it's a little bit.
For those who manage to get out and settle over here, they will need help. Both in terms of resources and in being welcomed. For the latter, if you know of Aghans being settled in your community, it's always worth reaching out to local orgs.
For the former, there are lots of charities dealing with funding transport and resettlement of Special Immigrant Visa holders.
A very well-established one is No One Left Behind (as of Aug 13, all donations done within a hundred hours goes towards plane tickets for SIVs):

Another charity is Keeping Our Promise, which focuses on helping Afghans who are settling in Rochester, NY. Attached to it was a GoFundMe that's now closed (it made twice the goal within a day, so the organizer wants to allow other cities to get funded) but is still a good reference by having links to both that charity and others.

If you want something with a bit broader focus, or you have hangups about dealing with something related to the US military, I do recommend the International Rescue Coalition:

This is just the ones I scrounged in short order. I am open to any other good charities and organizations focused on Afghan refugees and settlement. Especially non-American ones. You can drop them in the comments or reblogs, and I'll make another masterlist.
And also, if they are the type to listen to such appeals, it's always worth contacting your reps or media outlets to make noise about allowing more refugees into the US.
Not only would taking in the huddled masses be a drop in the bucket cost-wise compared to the billions upon billions the US and allied nations poured into the war, it's our responsibility after being there for two fucking decades and letting the people out of sight/mind for the majority of the citizenry.
