Summary below if you haven't read it.

After a night with way too much Soju, Zoey and Mira gave Rumi mating bites. The only problem, they aren't all dating, Zoey and Mira are but Rumi isn't. Rumi is confused, distraught, and hides what they did, thinking it will ruin them. The two don't seemingly remember, thus when a tear opens Rumi is distracted during the fight. Rumi is injured leading to the reveal of not only her patterns but her other demonic traits.

Rumi escapes badly wounded.

Before she does something rash, Rumi finds another Half-Demon. A teenager by the name of Maeve, who the Honmoon has already chosen to be a part of the next generation. How could the Honmoon think this was a good idea?

-Or-

Omega Rumi gets to learn how to be a mom to an orphan half-demon named Maeve while on the run. All before her pups arrive.

Ah-ri! Our aggressive but secret softie. One of the Grandmas for our rag tag group of Half-Demons. Fun fact, her demon animal is a wolverine. Lianthrelle and I went back and forth on Maeve's animal for a long time and wolverine was one that list. Lianthrelle really wanted it for Maeve. So it gets honored with Ah-ri!

Can't forget Ah-ri's wife and mate. The nurse/receptionist for Gramp's clinic. YUNA! As Yuna explained herself to Rumi, her demon animal is a Ungnyeo. A bear with a couple extra pluses.

I talk a lot about the Mirstery Siblings AU, and for good reason I really like them and they're both ouppy coded, but what about Mirbaby Siblings

What about Baby seeing his sister grow up and grow stronger, while he's trapped in the past with his shame

What about Mira having to look at the older brother she saw as the ideal perfect boy she strobe to be like, her saviour from her parents wrath and heavy hands, and seeing a child

Because that's what they both were, wasn't it, hurt children trying to keep going

Chapter 5: Can I Breathe? is live

Previously -- After the horrible misogynistic doctor. Rumi and Maeve found not only a doctor but a community that could understand them. They weren't alone, they had a community that maybe just maybe, they could rely on.

Currently -- Rumi and Mira get to hang out with the half-demons learning more about themselves and the hidden community that's been thriving for years. Eva gets voluntold to help a new client whether she wants to or not.

So I had a job interview today and there was a dude in the waiting room who was chatting up every AFAB person in the waiting room whether they responded or not, and kept going “Hey I’m real good at Origami Swans you want one?” and then writing his number on sticky notes before making paper cranes and handing them to his latest target before turning his attention to the next lady in his vicinity.  A little sad, a lot annoying, but unlikely to be dangerous.  Whatever.

Dude gets to me.  We have half a conversation where he asks me personal questions and I don’t look up from my phone.  I get my “Swan”.  I’m the last AFAB person in the room so he’s kinda sitting there.

I get to a post about a friend needing moral and/or spiritual support before a medical procedeure, so my ADHD ass goes Oh hey, we have an animal effigy we could sacrifice to the relevant gods! So I take out my lighter and burn the swan roughly 23 seconds after the dude gave it to me, and crush the ashes in my hand because I belatedly realize there’s no sink for me to throw this in.  Oh well.  Purell the ashes off.

I look up.  Dude, and everyone else in the waiting room is staring at me.

“You, uh.  Smoke?” Dude tries.

What I Meant To Say: “No I just carry a lighter as a holdover from survival camp as a kid, and if I’m wearing synthetic fabrics that start to ravel, I can use the flame to melt them a bit so they stop.”

What I Actually Said: “No I just have one in case I need to set something on fire.”

I put the lighter away.  The hiring manager comes out and calls my name.  I go back and have what I think was a reasonably sucessful job interview.  I come back out.

Dude, and half of the other candidates are GONE.
