That sonic post got me thinking a lot, because im glad im not the only who notices people being fine with shadow or knuckles being Black (especially darker skinned) but sonic's blackness is either denied or he is always explicitly light skin. Now, there's nothing wrong with sonic being light skinned, the problem is a lot of people ONLY ever draw sonic light skinned whereas shadow and knuckles are more often than not, dark-skinned, i rarely ever see sonic depicted with a deeper skin tone.

Now its not just sonic fans (primarily nonblack ones) i see this with, its really common in the mlp community too, specifically with how a lot of people defult rarity to white, what beacuse she's prissy, high class and has a white color scheme? Its always been werid to me. It happens with Celestia and Luna too, Luna always being depicted as darker skinned while Celestia is always fairer skinned.

People are doing this with deltarune characters too in a sense "Noelle and birdly cant be black beacuse of x reason!"

One of the biggest problems in the Hazbin fandom is that too many people want instant gratification.

I’m soo sick of those Alastor fans(not all fans) that act like it’s different when Alastor does it.

No, it’s not different because he’s ace. And I personally find this insulting as an ace person.

If I touch someone without their consent, especially if they are visibly uncomfortable, it’s still TOUCHING THEM WITHOUT CONSENT!

Sexuality has NOTHING to do with it.

No, it’s not different because Alastor is “friends” with them. Because they all still look uncomfortable, and only Nifty, Mimzy, & Charlie might be considered “friends” and again Charlie still looked uncomfortable half the time Alastor touched her.

And honestly the whole they are “friends” excuse they use for Alastor, they seem to forget for Vox. More than half of Vox’s touching is his ACTUAL FRIENDS, who are normally touching him BACK. Also the fact that one of those friends is someone Vox has been sleeping with for DECADES, so he’s going to be used to touching Val. So, the Vees aren’t uncomfortable, annoyed sometimes because of shit Vox says or does, but not uncomfortable with him touching them. I’m going to assume consent has been previously given by all three of them to each other, as they are all 3 touchy feely with each other. In show and in merch.

So, double standards there, trying to make Alastor seem not as bad as Vox. (I think Alastor is worse. To be honest)

Honestly, I would rather have Vox touching me than Alastor, cause Vox tends to just touch shoulders, unless it’s the other Vees. Alastor is in Charlie’s BED! And doesn’t leave when she asks him too and just keeps touching her instead. And he slaps Vaggie’s ass. And honestly it mostly seems like a habit for Vox and not something he does really consciously.

And yes, the pilot IS canon. It’s soft canon, where the designs and such is different, but the events and actions are canon.

For the record, I think both are creeps. But you can’t have one being a creep and the other not, when they do the same thing with touching people that don’t want to be touched and are uncomfortable with it. And if I had to choose I would prefer Vox’s creep over Alastor’s creep.

Because Vox touches everybody equally. That one Ladybug girl in the opening of S2e1? He literally grabs her and steers her towards Voxtek; he doesn't know her, and she doesn't seem all that thrilled his hands are on her. But, as the point was made, his hands usually stay in "safe zones." Shoulders, arms, upper back, and occassionally the waist. He shouldn't do it at all, as it is an overly familiar gesture and therefore creepy, but hey. The only ass he's ever slapped was the guy he's in a sexual relationship with. (Also wasn't okay because that was layered levels of dickwad behavior on Vox's part)

Like, Alastor only ever touches someone when he 1) wants something from them and 2) thinks/knows he can get away with it. Which with Charlie, he clearly is trying to manipulate her and knows he can literally manhandle her and she'd barely make a peep, or DO anything about it. So that's why we mostly see Alastor crossing boundries with primarily just Charlie, because she does jack shit to uphold her boundries. If he tried lounging in Vaggi's bed uninvited, he'd get an angelic spear-head to the gut. So in a weird way, Vox and Alastor are kind've on the same level of deplorable when it comes to them intetacting with others. They're both weaponizing physical touch and crossing standard social boundries and don't give two shits about the behavior, and even if you tell them to stop, they'll go right back to doing it 5 minutes later. Alastor out of pointed disregard for your desires/spite, and Vox probably straight up forgot vecause your request meant so little to him he barely bothers remembering what you said.

Alastor Apologists trying to use his ace-ness as a valid excuse is fucked up, though. Like come on, that does cross into the irl, and you guys are perpetuating bad stigmas for asexuals by defending the point like that. Bad expectations that ace specs might think they can get away with, and bad habits that allos think they should shrug off and not make a fuss over. By saying the character is okay to do That because of their sexuality, you're essentially telling yourselves and others that behavior is justified and okay as well. Otherwise, it wouldn't be a defense...

The whole "Jax never experienced consequences for her actions" take is wild because abstracting is one hell of a consequence. Besides, even if we ignore her abstraction the statement is still factually incorrect.

Whereas Jax was trapped in a digital purgatory that was run by an ai who viewed her and the others like fish in an aquarium for the majority of her time there.

But no, her committing allegorical suicide isn't enough for y'all.

Yes, Jax's behaviour was awful. No, ofc her trauma doesn't justify it, it's just the reason behind it. No, we didn't need to watch her be hanged, drawn, and quartered for it because the narrative already shows her facing consequences... repeatedly.

Greetings everyone, I would like to take a moment to talk about the fact that the reason Pomni wanted to help Jax so bad is set up in the second episode

Feeling like nothing in the context of this show means feeling like you're not real, since she says this while trying to comfort Gummigoo who found out he's not real

Then episode 6 rolls around and Jax reveals that's exactly what he feels like he is

From then on is where Pomni tries to reach out to Jax and remind Jax that she is real by trying to connect with her, which is what she also tried to do with Gummigoo

And the reason Pomni doesn't want people to feel like they're nothing and uses this method of trying to help people is introduced at the start of episode 2 with the dream and shown in episode 1, Pomni's greatest fear is not being valued by the others around her and therefore feel insignificant, she also feels this fear in episode 8 with her fear sequence being Gummigoo hating her and the last episode when everyone split up and fell apart after finding out about the brain scans after she had tried so hard to keep them all together. Pomni is able to better cope with this fear after seeing how much the characters value each other and her conversation with Kinger that reminds her how important valuing those around you is. Pomni's greatest strength I'd say is empathy, and these feelings are what go into her trying to reach out to Jax
