To the people who might go "yeah well that's a regular summer in [insert country or region]", I would like to point out the obvious that France (and other European countries curently suffering) is not these countries used to such heat for such mong periods of time.

Yes, it is finally summer, and yes, it's supposed to be hot too here. Except our hot temperatures are still way below that. The average temperatures at that period between 1991-2020 are 15-20°C below what we're experiencing. It's 41°C in Paris, Bordeaux, Toulouse, when it should be about 25, 42°C in Rennes when it should be 22.

On Tuesday 23rd, France was hotter than 99% of the planet. Only some specific zones in the Sahara, Arabian, and American deserts were hotter.

In the night between Monday and Tuesday, temperatures only came back down to between 21 and 28 degrees. Those are supposed to be the temps at day.

About A/C: it's true, most of the country doesn't have it. Some public transportation, supermarkets, restaurants have it, and some individual houses too. But that's about it. Because we didn't really need it until a few years ago, and it's both hard and expensive to get it installed, especially in older buildings like those in Paris. But also, you've got to understand that if A/C makes your life easier inside, it considerably worsens things outside. The heat generates by A/C would up the termps a few degrees more, and would not fix the issue of going outside.

This is SO true! I’ve been in France and northern Spain for a bit over a week to see family and friends, gone all over and it never stops. Everywhere I’ve gone it’s been practically unbearable without air conditioning. Maybe it’s just my American sensibilities being used to A/C but I’m from Oregon and our summers have been getting up there too. Not for nearly as long though. We are having back to back record breaking heatwave summers, and trust me people are noticing. I spent a day in Toulouse with my family last week because we took a train up from Barcelona and needed to rest before we drove to our family home in the countryside. That building was from the 1600s. No A/C in the apartment. It was standard. It was a nice place. All we could do was turn on a fan a hope for the best. In the less than 24hrs we were in Toulouse I took 5 quick showers on the coldest setting they had and yet I was still BOILING ten minutes later. My entire family had trouble sleeping while we were there because of the heat. Luckily our family home was mostly stone, designed to keep out heat but if you went up in floors it wasn’t pleasant. We went to visit a local castle, same deal. We had to go swimming directly after to have any hope of cooling off. I just got to Paris late yesterday but I can already tell it’s too hot. And France is very good about the climate. This problem won’t be solved by a handful of countries or organizations. People will lose their homes, families, heritage. We have to elect those who care, and work towards healing our planet ourselves. This is not normal.

Yes, when the original post is deleted from the server (not just the blog, but the Tumblr servers), there is no root post for notes to be added onto, and also no root post for time to be counted from, so it starts from zero. Most computer operating systems use Unix, which was launched in 1971 with t.he epoch date of midnight on January 1, 1970 as 1. Therefore zero is one second behind that date: December 31, 1969. Hazbin season 2 finale spoilers!!!

Ok, I’m not sure why they didn’t do this but when everyone was destroying the weapon Lucifer was inside, right. And they sent it… somewhere, I think. But while I was watching hear my hope I legit thought he was gonna go with the doomsday device! I feel like that would have been a good (albeit depressing) plot line to go with. Charlie and Emily didn’t know he was in there when they started shielding it and Vaggi would have been too late to fully stop them so… idk I think it would have been fun if they practically killed him or sent him to purgatory or something.

Also I was thinking and what if Lilith finally calling back was related to Alastor breaking his deal. Either she was using him a a vessel to monitor Charlie or she was under some kind of restraint that didn’t allow her to talk with Charlie 👀 idk just spitballing here
