random meme from a discord server.
He do that. He do.
I dont get how im supposed to look forward to life when I know im gonna be in some level of pain that will likely not get easier for me to deal with over time for the rest of my life..
Its fucking depressing and I dont know what to do about it..
Blegh.
Transfemmes are so reluctant to touch grass they've had to invent grass that touches them instead. And also carries them to the doctor. And also tops them because why fucking not.
Hi, question for the pro-automation crew
If all jobs end up being automated, be it through AI, robots, or whatever else. What happens to the people who worked those jobs?
Cause.. Companies aren't gonna start giving away their products for free, but if all the jobs are automated, how are people gonna get the money they would need to buy the things they need to survive?
Sure with automation we would have more free time but we don't work for the fun of it, we work cause if we don't the system in place sees fit for us to starve and die on the street if we aren't lucky enough to have a robust safety net.
If everything is automated, yet the goal remains the acquisition of profit beyond the well-being of the people, how do you propose the people live, what do they do, how do they earn money?
The fact is? I don't see a solution that doesn't see millions fall into a greater poverty than they already are. If that's an acceptable byproduct? Fuck you.
If it isn't, how do you rectify the situation?
Partial automation is a valid argument, but if it comes at the expense of peoples jobs, which it is doing, right now, then we're facing the same problem, just on a smaller scale.
Even when my life gets better the sadness remains. It's so deeply frustrating to have things get better, only to end up in the same hole, even if I address the systematic causes of my depression, I remain.. clinically depressed..
I'm tired, it's been 20 years, I'm the happiest I've ever been with the most real human connections I've ever had and I'm still curling up in my bed, day dreaming of car crashes.
I'd like to not be like this every other day please, I want to be free of this, but I fear I never will be..
It's frustrating...
Alright Gachiakuta theory!
You ever notice how Givers never have highlights in their eyes, but non-givers do?
Well, I noticed an exception.~
spoilers for season one and the manga up to the latest released chapter!
I fucked up and forgot an important scene! But here's why I don't think it invalidates my theory!
even more fuckin spoilers for the latest chapter (168) that further support the above ammendment!
gountess, upon surrendering his vital instrument, has regained the highlights in his eyes, it seems that when a persons vital instrument is given away, or taken away, an individual stops being a giver, gountess's condition may be unique however, as he never really considered the necklace his, as he says, it's rudo's now, he was only holding onto it,
at this point, all givers we see before they gain their powers have highlights in their eyes, and so far, both givers to be shown with them after getting their powers, have been shown either directly before an incident where it is heavily implied her power is taken away, or directly after an instance where the individuals power is given away.
I am convinced that this is an intentional design choice, it doesn't mean every person without highlights is a giver, people consumed by an obsession or intense emotion can temporarily lose their highlights, but we should be paying attention because the eyes tell us a story, wing, the nijiku siblings, hyo, there's more to them than we yet see.
Voluntary first past the post voting only demonstrates a party's ability to motivate people to vote at all.
-
I continue to maintain that the Australian combination of compulsory voting with ranked choice voting, is the greatest advancement in democracy in centuries.
Compulsory voting shifts the onus ensuring your access to the ballot box to the government. One Citizen, One Vote, No Matter How Remote.
It's hard to restrict the vote when everyone has to vote by law, and compulsory ranked choice voting gives a better median representation of national opinion.
You say "it's my right to refuse to vote", people do that all the time, submit it blank, draw a penis on the ballot, write that you're voting for the Loch Ness Monster. You can also not turn up and pay a small fine.
I will stress... No matter the system, vote. Always vote. Vote in every election. If nothing else motivates you, just remember that you need to vote because there's someone you cannot stand who is voting in that election, even the local one, for something that is going to bother or hurt you for the rest of your life.

SKITARII NOW!!!!!!
Sure, throw in mechanics troops with the criminals.
What next? Sisters of Battle? I hope not.
I think Skitarii are honestly the best choice for a Mechanicus character within the Darktide character environment. You already have Guard (veteran and Ogryn), Astra Telepathica (psyker), Ministorum (zealot), and obv the DLC characters of the Hive Scum and Arbites. So long as the player characters stay on the axis of non-power armored humans, i don't think the Skitarii are that out of place, the designers even said it was one of the first archetypes they wanted in the game but it needed more time to cook and see what kind of combat niche it could occupy. As the story of Darktide expands, other imperial bodies like the Arbites, hive gangers, and Mechanicus are likely to get drawn in, but i think the devs know that adding in Sororitas or Astartes would be far too overpowered compared to the other characters.
Finally, some one agrees that SoB are to op for this game.
Now a sisters novitiate, with their lack of power armour, bolt weaponry, and need to be trained in real combat, they fit much better, pop a novitiates superior npc on the ship hub and its good to go~ they possess a varied kit in line with what is already being used, with a lot of options for variance from the current kit as well
If I were to put in sisters, id put these in.
