I was already thinking about the dynamics of "love" between nikki and what's his name being like dog and owner. she loves him like a dog with abandonment issues. she literally wets herself and makes a mess in the house when he leaves for work without her. and brings him dead animals. definitely intentional. she loves him like a loyal dog. and he loves her like a dog and not a person. he wants loyal and obedient. he doesnt want to love her like another human being with interiority. he doesnt want to give her her interiority back if it means she wont be his loyal obedient dog. movie of all time. sorry to hijack your horny post but not really. actually people like this would probably resonate a lot with this movie.
