Where is my brother? My uncle? Did you kill them, too? (Is it my fault?) Father, walk with me, would you? (It’s no question. You must.)

Did you think twice before you shot them? (Were they just another heart?)

Dirty, dirty, dirty. The blood splatters on the dirt, sinking in as nothing more than water.

The problem stands here, unkindly: I am not just another heart.

Cover me all you wish, head to my wrists and ankles. But it will not change.

(We are still here. Our hearts are still beating.)

But theirs are not. Neither is yours.

forever on the side that jason is a damian lover and they frequently train together and patrol together. they talk about literature and "mature fields of discussion" (as damian says. jason calls them grown up topics)

unfriendly and quite frankly an irritated reminder that damian wayne isn't a hostile, feral little boy who needs to be "tamed" and held back.

for one, he's been trained to essentially be a perfect soldier, knows when to hold back vs when to push, knows techniques and has so many skills he could bash your skull in, yet he's so eloquent and articulate you wouldn't imagine that under that well-spoken nature of his he's out fighting crime.

stop acting like he's this little boy that needs to be harnessed. yes, he's a little boy. but he's frankly way more tame than his siblings and he's smart. it's rooted in racism for you to pretend like he's this little "demon child" when he's really not.

damian wayne is entitled and he's a brat at times but in no way is he a feral little boy who needs to "be tamed." so much media, especially in a humorous way, about how he's so vicious and ferocious and brutal and bestial and i'm sick of it because he's literally not.

For context, my history teacher keeps pronouncing it Huh-why and it’s driving me nuts. This whole freaking month he’s been saying it over and over! When I asked if he meant Huh-why-E he just replied “yeah but I’m from Maryland so I don’t say it that way” MAN THIS SCHOOL IS IN MARYLAND! WE ALL LIVE IN MARYLAND! IM FROM MARYLAND TOO! IVE NEVER HEARD ANYONE SAY IT LIKE HIM BEFORE! NOBODY ELSE IN MARYLAND SAYS IT LIKE THAT! So I wanna see if he’s the only one who says it like that, because maybe I’m being unfair in hating him saying it so much when he’s not the only one. But if he is the only one, then I want to know that I’m right that nobody says it like that and he’s wrong that it’s a Maryland thing!
