Maybe whistle player in a Ukrainian industrial techno band is my ideal career. Maybe if I'd have know that was an option then things would have turned out different for me.

Reblog to confuse an American (1st semi final edition)
WORLD HERITAGE POST AWARD
Happy Pride Month Eleanor Roosevelt was queer, the Little Mermaid is a gay love story, James Dean liked men, Emily Dickinson was a lesbian, Nikola Tesla was asexual, Freddie Mercury was bisexual & British Indian, and black trans women pioneered the gay rights movement.
Florence Nightingale was a lesbian, Leonardo da Vinci was gay, Michelangelo too, Jane Austen liked women, Hatshepsut was not cisgender, and Alexander the Great was a power bottom
Honestly just reblogging for that last one
Probably not historically backed but fuck yes
Eleanor Roosevelt wrote love letters to Lorena Hickok
Love letters Hans Christian Anderson wrote to Edvard Collin contain elements that appeared in The Little Mermaid, which he was writing at the same time
Several people who knew James Dean have talked about his relationships with men
Letters and poems allude to a romance between Emily Dickinson and at least two women
Nikola Tesla was adverse to touch. He said he fell in love with one women but never touched her and didn’t want to get married
Freddie Mercury is well known for his attraction to men but was also linked to several women, including Barbara Valentin whom he lived with shortly before he died. Friends have talked about being invited into their bed and walking in on them having sex (documentary Freddie Mercury: The Great Pretender)
Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera are two of the best-known activists who fought in the Stonewall riots
Florence Nightingale refused 4 marriage proposals and her letters and memoir suggest a love for women
Leonardo da Vinci never married or fathered children, was once brought up on sodomy charges, and a sketch in one of his notebooks is 2 penises walking toward a hole labeled with the nickname of his apprentice
Condivi said that Michelangelo often spoke exclusively of masculine love
Jane Austin never married and wrote about sharing a bed with women (Jane Austen At Home: A Biography by Lucy Worsley)
Hatshepsut took the male title Pharaoh (instead of Queen Regent) and is depicted in art from the time the same way a male Pharaoh would have been
“Alexander was only defeated once…and that was by Hephaestion’s thighs.” is a 2,000 year old quote
I want to hire you to follow me around and defend my honor with meticulous research
remember when you were 12 and the internet seemed like an endless source of fun and now you just scroll through tumblr and check instagram?
or is that just me
thought i was the only that felt this way lol
The internet when you were 12 in 2007: Most of your friends didn't use it and neither did your parents. Corporations didn't fully understand it yet, commercialization consisted almost exclusively of banner ads. The most popular social media was MySpace, of which you could personalize almost every aspect and nobody's parents used. Instead of having one Nerd Website that everyone uses, you had accounts on a bunch of different forums related to your interests and each had its own unique environment. YouTube was an uncharted terrain of kids just like you uploading whatever they wanted, unpolished and unedited with no ad partnerships.
The internet in 2020: Literally everyone is online, every member of your family has an account on each of the most popular websites. Instead of being a place you can enter on your own terms when you're ready, the internet now comes to you, giving you a little spike of anxiety with every new notification. Ad spam is everywhere and it's becoming increasingly harder to differentiate between real people and marketing schemes. The most popular social media websites have streamlined, neutral colored UIs that cannot be personalized at all beyond a singular photo and username. Instead of being a haven for fellow weirdos, everyone is a denizen of the internet now. 90% of online activity for your interests takes place on a single website, the community is going to be devastated if it ever goes down but what can be done? YouTube is just mainstream television but on the internet now, YouTubers are rich celebrities who live in Hollywood mansions.
Im so glad people are talking about this cuz Ive been scared it was mainly my depression sapping the joy out of everything again
Hey my gays so you know when homophobes use their book to say homosexuality is bad? Remind them of the sins they do daily and walk away knowing that you’ll see em in hell
Gossiping (Leviticus 19:16)
Eating Cheeseburgers (Exodus 23:19)
Shaving your face (Leviticus 19:27)
Wearing jewellery (Timothy 2:9)
Divorce (Mark 10:9)
Women speaking in church (1 cor 14:34)
Wearing mixed fabrics (Leviticus 19:19)
Working on Saturdays (Exodus 31:14-15)
Putting family before god (Matthew 10:37)
Allowing lustful situations (James 1:14-15)
OVERLY EXPRESSING OPINIONS (Proverbs 15:1)
Eating shellfish (Leviticus 11:10)
Tattoos (Leviticus 19:28)
Bowl Cuts (Leviticus 19:27)
Eating bacon (Leviticus 11:7-8)
You can’t pick and choose what sins to condemn, they’re all equal in the eyes of god
I’m reading the first chapter of my Ichthyology book for homework and so far my favorite quote is:
“Humans are not the pinnacle of evolutionary progress but only an aberrant side branch of fish evolution.”
women want me, but fish? fish pity me
[ID: The Scooby Doo ghost meme. In the first panel, Fred looks at a ghost, labelled “being not like the other people who are my agab”, and says “Okay gang, let’s see who the ghost really is.“ In the second panel, Fred pulls off the mask and looks at a man labelled “a giant clue I somehow missed that I’m not actually my agab”. End ID]
people please can we stop treating nonbinary as a third gender? it’s not, it can be, but the idea isn’t to substitute a binary (boy or girl) for other (binary or nonbinary)

It’s alright if you didn’t always know.
openly lusting for kitchenware and home goods that you will never be able to afford
CW: Rant, transphobia, enbyphobia, bad language, negative.
dunno I don’t feel like writing about this anywhere else
I’m so tired of people gatekeeping who’s this and that and who’s not valid just because not everyone’s journey is the same
at the end of the day i am still nonbinary, with my “femenine” appearance and my strident voice. i’m not a woman-lite. i don’t want people to look at me and say oh well i like girls and you look like one so you’re on the menu. no, you’re either into nonbinary people that don’t match your silly binary, or i am not. that’s misgendering.
it’s 2021 and people are still pushing for everyone to have to feel absolute dread and discomfort about everything about themselves to the last hair of their legs to be considered trans or a true nonbinary. my problems with my body exist when others perceive me wrong, not by themselves. if i am sitting alone in a room with no mirrors i don’t feel like shit when someone sees me and says ma’am. i also want to say that i would expect this attitudes from ignorant cis people, not fellow trans people that can’t conceive that some people don’t have the same dysphoria as them or not every. single. nonbinary. person. wants to look androgynous. what if i want to look like a guy with boobs what’s the problem with that? or just a person that happens to have boobs? bodies are just masses of flesh. and if i see myself as neutral but don’t mind my girlfriend calling me girlfriend, but addressing me as they/them? what if i don’t feel like i can just pick a side? no one goes “hey it must be difficult for nonbinary people who don’t feel comfortable as neither typical presentation”, no, people jump to “then if you don’t want to change this or that you’re just a transtrender”. 2021. not 2014. I’d understand this if it was 2013 and I was struggling with calling myself genderfluid because nonbinary wasn’t an option back then and people laughed at they/them pronouns because they thought they were silly. not 2021.
anyway folks remember to drink water and stretch, happy quarantine.
