This is probably a little too much nuance, but whenever I see a "all borders are violence" post (a political position I generally agree with!) I always add a little asterisk that says "*but the border checks that keep you from bringing homegrown produce into big agricultural areas to avoid the transmission of parasites and invasive species are actually fine and if we were more vigilant about that kind of thing maybe we wouldn't have spotted lanternflies in the states."

i think the thing that annoys me the most about chronically online radical leftie types is that they clearly lavish in violent rhetoric- this is their idea of being "punk" and "radical". So they'll call for violence on the regular, sometimes hiding behind the thin veil of humor, sometimes plainly in the open. But the moment that violent rhetoric or crimes is aimed back at them, they cry about how inhumane and fascist the opposition is.

If youre gonna call for people to get shot, dont act surprised when you get shot back. Beyond hypocrisy, that is just peak pussy behavior. ??? I feel like your romanticizing cables. These fuckers would find a way to tangle themselves in anything that comes near them, and would absolutely stop working after short usage. I used to have to change my earbuds every 6 months or so, for the sole reason that i dared to go jogging while listening to music. Then i had to hold the wire in juuust the right angle or the left earbud would go bye bye. I also use a 3rd party Gamecube controller (blame my smash bros competitor nature) and the first thing to get busted is always the fucking cable, of course. Had to change it a few times just cause of that. Seriously, i love being old man yelling at cloud but Bluetooth is the best invention of the century. I cant remember a single time a device that had any sort of wires didnt cause me any issues primarily because of those wires and connections.
