are you ever just so glad a certain fictional character exists

emails with “[AO3] Comment on _____” in the subject line give me a better dopamine rush than hard drugs ever will
may I offer my contribution

Writing fanfic comes in two distinct varieties: "this thing ripped itself from my chest and it was written before I even realized it" and "I know how sculptors feel, chiseling away at a block of nothing because you know there's something in there and it's a painstaking process to get it to form"
Posting on AO3 is like, I'm doing this for myself, but also immediately refreshing the page every 5 seconds to see if you get any hits comments or kudos. But totally only writing for me.
brooding men who cannot communicate their feelings if their life depended on it are only hot when they're fictional. if i have to deal with one in real life i will curse him and pray for his downfall every night before i go to bed
horniest battle moments:
- taking your ally's weapon out of their scabard to use yourself
- using someone else's shoulder as a rifle stand
- nudging someone's chin up with the tip of your weapon
- freezing with your blades against one another's throats, breathing into each other's mouths
Unfolds a long string of photos from my wallet, but instead of children it’s pictures of my OCs
Welcome to my gay d&d blog! I'll be posting a lot of art of my OCs and their queer adventures, and some fan art too, mainly from Baldur's Gate 3.
I follow from my main: chaoschangeling
Here's a WIP for my BG3 chaotic neutral tiefling bard... Working on color and shading now
I started a BG3 and D&D fanblog. I've been playing D&D on and off since 2002 (hells... 22 years. Time flies.) and started playing BG3 a few weeks ago. I haven't finished it, trying like mad to avoid spoilers but you know how the Internet is.
I am a WHORE for “the love is requited, they’re both just idiots”
“They are STUPIDLY competent at EVERYTHING except each other.”
You fanfiction people are insane. Y'all will say shit like “I hate writing original fiction, I prefer it when the characters have an established dynamic.” And then headcannon the characters to where their dynamic is completely different.
“I like fanfiction because using an established world is a good shorthand for other readers!” And then write shit like “The avengers but they’re actually the starving orphaned children of a kindly french barrel maker during the 30 years war.”
Essentially we play with characters the way we used to play with Barbies
the most fun thing about being a fic author is when you know what’s supposed to happen but when you go to write it you realise that, for the event to be plausible, you need to add another 2k of development and establish like six extra things before you can even get to the scene you need to write, and by ‘most fun’ I mean fuck everything someone take this fucking story away from me I’m on strike
