Frankly, as someone with a speech impediment, the insistence that everyone can pronounce every sound in another language if they just try hard enough is deeply fucking frustrating. There are sounds in my OWN language that I'll never be able to make and it took me years to understand that I don't need perfect pronunciation to learn other languages.
Sometimes certain sounds require you to be able to move your mouth, tongue, or throat in specific ways that you'll NEVER be able to do, no matter how hard you try. Maybe that's because of a speech impediment or other disorder that affects your ability to move your mouth/tongue/throat or maybe it's because certain sounds are incredibly difficult or near impossible for a lot of people to make if they didn't grow up with them.
You can be frustrated and annoyed and even furious with people's lack of effort to pronounce certain things, with any disregard they show for other languages and especially other people's names, but you have to recognize the difference between someone not caring enough to try and someone trying so hard and just not being able to do it.
