the best thing you can do to a character make them averse to touch and absolutely starved for it
At first, I didn't like how the lineart was turning, but the colors really saved me
I wish sandrone's dress was a bit more fluffy, but overall, I love her new colors. I'm such a sucker for sandrone. I love her so much 😍💖😍💖 AND HER MATCHING RIBBONS AHHSNEJ

Sometimes what characters have with eachother cannot be defined by “secret third thing”. “Secret third thing” sounds like you could probably summarize their relationship with a single word that exists in a dictionary. Instead what they have going on is a secret (√-29)+π th thing because their relationship is complex and irrational and cannot be strictly defined. and also they’re imaginary
“The Shonen Protagonist joins The Organization” is such a cheap and easy hack for framing a narrative because the author never has to come up with a reason why the protagonist gets involved in each arc. It’s just that The Organization has a new Mission for the protagonist every time and the protagonist gets to say, “Righteo, thanks plot for telling me what to go do.”
Which makes Fullmetal Alchemist so much funnier because Edward Elric very very much does join The Organization. He’s in fact quite famous for joining The Organization. Where The Organization is a hostile fascist dictatorship with immense military power which is good at both giving orders and punishing defectors.
And yet over the course of the series Edward is so allergic to ever being told what to do that he in fact never ever goes on an Organization-Ordered Mission. And the exactly one time The Organization DID try to tell him what to do Edward hated it so much he fucked off and impaled himself at the bottom of a mineshaft about it.
Also, 'Shonen Protagonist Joins Organization' is a very handy way for an author to lean on the tropes and conventions of a high school setting, even when the Organization isn't a high school (though often it is one, or at least has a high school wing for some reason). It lets you introduce various other similarly-aged characters with Organization Powers that the protagonist can be teamed up with or do tournament arcs against, usually including both the Designated Love Interest and Designated Rival Teen. All the usual bevy of cafeterias and tests and formal dances are at your fingertips, and the audience won't question why they're there. It's an Organization! This is normal Organization Stuff!
Which is indeed why it's so notable that Edward Elric does exactly zero of these things.
Guess who's sleeeeeepy all the timeee? Right, me :D And Scara. Lots of wrinkles and folds, I feel like I'm slowly getting a better feeling for them. I'm having way too much fun sketching him. Thinking about trying out different expressions/moods next time.

i honestly don't really understand why "some people prefer watching gameplay online rather than playing games themselves" is treated as such a taboo when being a spectator is considered a pretty mundane way to engage with most sports, game shows, reality tv or even just like. chess.
kinda late lol
Autistic social anxiety is not "social anxiety" in the typical sense. An anxiety disorder is defined as an "irrational fear". So for example, imagine someone who is afraid to speak in case everyone looks at them and goes "what the heck are you saying you wierdo." If that person is neurotypical, then the chances are that they're very unlikely to get that response. Therefore their fears are irrational, and that is true "social anxiety". If you put an autistic person in that scenario, on the other hand, then probably the reason they're afraid of that response is because they've received it many times before. They're fear is based on repeated past experiences, therefore it is not irrational and not the simply an anxiety disorder. That's why people giving the classic social anxiety responses to autistic people is so unhelpful. "Just go out there and talk to people, it'll be fine," or "keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and you'll get more confident," don't work if the problem is real and not just in your head.
Hello, tumblr! I saw something on here the other day that worried me, so I decided to Do Science about it. But I can't do it alone: I need your help to build the dataset!
Here's what I need you to do:
If you see a post with a "mature content" label, and it's 2026, DM me a link to the post.
Yes, that's really it.
I am hoping to collect several thousand such posts, so that I have a decent sized dataset. I do not care what the post is about; if it's labeled as "mature content", I want to add it to my dataset.
If I get 10,000 posts in my dataset before August 31st 2026, I will post my preliminary findings then. I won't feel comfortable calling my findings "settled" before 2027, unless I get over 50,000 posts.
"You know what's harder than Getting Better? Living Like That" is just the thesis for my whole shit going on right now honestly. You know what's harder than doing my physical therapy? Hurting All The Time. You know what's harder than addressing my gender dysphoria? Hurting All The Time
I'm Doing The Hard Thing and it's *easier* than how I was living before. If you make yourself feel better you will have more energy to spend on Getting Better. Nice inch nails - the upward spiral. Crawl out of your grave Thursday

i bet i can make really darkly funny raiden ei posts if i'm willing to get tmi. like i've said this before but i can't stay irritated at her for longer than 2 minutes bc Girl I Get It the same thing happened to me except i wasn't responsible for a nation and the combination grief/autism burnout only lasted me ~4.5yrs instead of 500. also my sibling didn't leave an awesome fuckoff huge tree behind. #slackerdeadbrother
like i'm just saying if i accidentally created sentient life during that time and putting it in a harmless induced coma was an OPTION, that would be a pretty tempting alternative to it being raised by me. For both our fucking sakes Lol
premise: All your closest friends die in the grief burnout trauma incident. Everyone who truly knew you or your sister. Everyone who could possibly understand what you're going through—
oh nvm, actually your 🌸 emotionally intelligent 🌸 friend is still alive. She is your only friend now. She resents your accidental sentient life side project. Her 🌸 emotionally intelligent 🌸 advice is that she gets it; she understands you; she can be your everything, and if you would just let her then everything would be okay. You can't spell codependency without "cope", she says, and although she sounds like she's snickering at that, she always sounds like that.
sometimes you have to ship characters who dislike each other without making them like each other
