Introduction Post

Hey there, tumblr.

I am not new to this place. Truthfully, I was on here for years. However, after being pushed out of my former friend group following October 7th for refusing to believe that All (((Zionists))) Are Bad Actually, I left tumblr, heartbroken and upset by everything going on.

I couldn't believe that my friends, who so easily supported me when I was saying what they wanted to hear, would so easily cast me aside for believing that jews deserve to live in our homeland if we choose it. It was heartbreaking, and I spent a while away from here, sure that I was alone.

I've decided now that I'm done with being pushed out of spaces I deserve to exist in just because somebody disagrees with me. So I'm here again. I'll be using this blog to just talk about mostly jewish things and hopefully bring some attention to the sheer amount of hatred that people are displaying for us. (Although I may post about bugs or dinosaurs every so often, I love them!)

Jews DO count. Do not blind yourself to what's happening.

Listen you can object to the methods of the Israeli army in Gaza, and the government as a whole, heck knows I do, but you can not claim that the reasons they are doing what they are doing in Gaza is because they are racist white European colonist. It is antisemitic.

The Israeli government can have racist members, but they can just be racist. There is no need to erase thousands of years of Jewish history just to fit your antisemitic agenda. Jews are not white nor European. Even when they were dispersed throughout Europe. Not even the whole diaspora was in Europe.

To be clear- a solution is needed and Palestinians deserve peace and security . What I don’t support is a solution that isn’t realistic or helpful .

Historically, both unilaterally making a region Judenrein (the ethnic cleansing of the Aza Jews) and the two state solution (the Oslo accords) resulted in an increase in terrorism and decrease in Israeli safety, as well as lower life quality for the Arabs as their newfound governments became dictatorial and corrupted.

Europe thinking they can white-save a century old religious, ideological conflict via saying words that make almost no difference on the ground is stupid and counterproductive. This is not how you solve anything, even less so as countries with no skin in the game.

If they want a Palestinian land so bad, they can allocate some of their land for this purpose.

I just finished my fast for Tisha b'Av and I've seen a few posts going around trying to relate it to Gaza or whatever. Which is just, missing the point of it entirely. On Tisha b'Av we mourn the destruction of the temple, the centre of Jewish life in ancient Israel. To this day, the temple remains in ruins, and there's a mosque built on top of it.

Megillah Eicha tells of the anguish of the author as they watch their beloved Zion fall to ruin, their people slaughtered and expelled.

Tisha b'Av is not about Palestine. It is about Jews mourning their home, the land that has been colonised over and over, and yet people still want to deny them. Trying to make Tisha b'Av about Palestine is literally colonising a day for mourning the conquest and colonisation of Israel.

there's something to be said about how people on the left view judaism as just a label and nothing more. they say they support jews but find it suspicious when they hear someone speaking hebrew, display a menorah, wear a magen david, or anything else that's clearly jewish. they're fine with us being jewish but only if we add disclaimers that we're one of the good ones, because to them, being jewish makes you inherently untrustworthy and evil unless you prove yourself. and as long as we keep any part of us that's obviously jewish out of their sight they might tolerate us. for now.

Just like if you believe in a muti-cultural future where people of all races live side by side in peace and equality, but that future doesn't have room for any cultural practices other than your own, you don't actually believe in a multicultural future, you believe in cultural imperialism.

If you're okay with Jews, but only if they abandon any Jewish practice that makes you even mildly uncomfortable, then what you actually want is cultural genocide.

If you don't think Israel should exist but you ALSO praise or accept violence against Jews in the Diaspora as justified because of Israel's actions then that's not anti Zionism that's just plain antisemitism.
