This house is CC-FREE! I built it using the Ultimate Collection.
Here you have my makeover for 1080 West Leisure Lane, aka Natasha Una's house! I had a hard time renovating this lot for the wrong reasons... I actually "like" the original house, or at least the ideas they had in mind. That's why I kept some of the furniture and original layout, especially in the bedroom and the bathroom, and added some extra decoration.
For the living room I went for a Victorian-esque route, because I loved the original couches sooooooo much, therefore I decorated the room around them. I kept all the original grilled cheese paintings and pottery and added a bit more here and there so it seems like the house is lived-in and also add a bit more personality to it.
Lastly, I saw the developers put down some Japanese-style paintings, so I put down a fake mat for Natasha to use for either taichi, yoga, meditation or whatever you have in mind.

You may know how sinks get wiped from counters if you put some clutter in their corner slots (usually with moveobjects) and went to Live mode. I fixed that!

Let me know if you still experience sink disappearance with this file, I have an alternative solution and I will share it, if this one won't be enough
Have you downloaded a clean template to play in Desiderata Valley but you actually miss the townies? Do you need some fresh genes for your hood? Say no more! We've got what you need.
Few days ago (aka on Monday) I came across itsrainingsimmies' post and I was reminded how much I actually miss having premade townies in my Desiderata Valley (justice for Desiderata Valley!), so I did a quick Google search and found that zachjohnunlimited (modthesims) had added the og premade townies to meetmetotheriver's clean template!
But I still was not satisfied. As you may know, all townies use premade face templates, which makes their genetics very boring, and DV townies are no exception. So I went to body shop and using pooklet's method, I changed their faces so they looked more unique! For now I've created this set of townies which I decided to share with yall!
The sims included (in alphabetical order) are:
Adrian Raymond
Alvin Rusewicz
Amaya Wilson
Amy Bendett
Caryl Chung
Connor Barthelet
Felicia Shin
Hayden Long
Ivy Taylor

see u guys and hope ur having a decent week at least :)
Soooo this is the last part of my DV townie dump where I extracted all the townies in the hood and changed their face features using pooklet's method! I forgot to mention it in the last part but I'm using @deedee-sims's non-default face templates to have even more unique looks, so credits to them as well! (Don't worry! You don't have to download them if you don't want to, your sims will still look the same).
So, as I said, this is the last part of this collection, for now. I might make one bonus part with the service sims, but I'm not quite sure yet because there's a ton of service sims and most of them are irrelevant, no offense.
This compilation includes a total of 11 sims, which are:
Rebecka Hollmo
Sadie Bruenig
Scot Greaves
Shelby Fairchild
Skylar Miguel
Sophie Dallas
Sterling Futa
Trevor Haggerty
Tyler Fuchs
Willow Kody
Wyatt Bear

Special thanks to @lordcrumps for making maxis and clean ui pics and counting pixels with me. It was his and @simnopke's idea to make this thing bigger
Some behind the scenes under the cut
Stage 1, breaking out of the tiny window
Stage 2, figuring out how to mod UI again
Stage 3, going big! But not quite there yet
Stage 4, "should I move it 1 more pixel to the left"
🤓
Secret bonus version for behind the scenes viewers who think that smaller is better, available exclusively and only in starship colors (you can only have one version)

So... after like three years of not posting any makeover (time truly flies, huh), here you have my makeover for 1050 East Leisure Lane aka the Bell family house. Just like the Contrary house, I tried to go for a 70s style but this time with a bit more colors like green and blue.
I did some changes to the floorplant because tbh the original one didn't convince me, especially downstairs in the ballet room and the room next to it. I made the living room a bit larger and got rid of some of the walls.
I also made the lot smaller using LotAdjuster, so now it's 40x40 instead of 40x50 like before.

Giving the final touches to my first Desiderata Valley house makeover since... 2024?, 2023? Idk how long it was but i FINALLY found the motivation to continue with it. Now it's time to playtest it and then I'll share it with you guys!
for a while i'd been using objects.package modified by me to unhide objects that sims use during interactions and it's now a MUST HAVE for me when it comes to no cc decorating!
initially i posted a whole modified objects.package, but @simnopke suggested i make an override mod instead, so i did! anyone who has downloaded the previous file can bring back their backup or download one someone posted here and then proceed to download the new mod, as modified objects.package isn't needed anymore :)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS READ PLS!!
the file goes into Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff\TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins (if you have Ultimate Collection or Legacy Collection the Mansion and Garden folder is called SP9)
enjoy :3
21.02.2026 - first update - added fish, utensils, crops, trash/leaf piles, weeds, roaches, etc; to change a crop's quality use testingcheats -> shift + right click on the crop -> change material (works only on some crops, not all, but that's outside of my control)
02.04.2026 - second update - properly assigned categories to objects, those that don't fit any category can be found in decorative -> all
Author of the mod discovered that memory-usage-related pink soup is a result of an intentional safety check in the game's code, rather than a mistake in calculating texture memory.
So his experimental mod for TS2 RPC launcher basically tells the game to stop freaking out and turning stuff pink when shaders' memory usage goes over certain threshold. NOTE: it may get rid of the pink, but the game will still crash if you exceed 4GB limit.
There are two mod options to choose from:
Version 1 is more radical, it completely removes the safety check. You'll (probably) find out the shader's memory limit has been exceeded when your game crashes.
Version 2 is supposed to allow some pink soup at around 3.5 GB memory usage, near the danger zone, so you have time to act - so obviously, this one sounds more sensible.
And while I remain convinced that pink soup can occur because of other shader-related issues or f*cked-up memory settings, not just this "failsafe", if your game suffers from pink soup it's definitely worth a try!
I've always hated how the camera jumps up and down when playing tall and slim buildings. Turns out, it's really easy to fix! It’ll take you less than a minute. All the details under the cut.
All it takes is opening the LiveCamera.txt file in your Documents>Cameras folder with a text editor and changing these two parameters near the bottom to a higher value. Doesn’t matter if you're using a custom camera mod or not. Those parameters should be there. I have set mine like this (remember to save a backup just in case you don't like these changes).
It might seem a bit extreme, but I still think it’s fine.
-The top parameter, floorheightsamplerange, handles how much the floors “extend out”, so the camera object can stand on it mid-air. The higher it is, the further the floor will extend. This will make it so your camera will be able to stick to the floor you’re on, even if you pan away from the building. No more annoying jumps up and down!
-The parameter below that, floorheightsampleinnerrange, handles the transition between sticking to the current floor and dropping to the ground level once it goes past the edge. The higher it is, the smoothest the fall will be.
I’ll note though that the behaviour of these parameters might not be 100% accurate with how the game actually works, but from what I tested I think it’s pretty close as an explanation. If someone knows better how this Live Camera works, please let me know and I’ll try my best to correct any inaccuracies.
Save the .txt file and check how it works in game. It might feel weird at first, but personally I find it so much smoother and easier to handle. If you’re not happy with these values, close the game and edit those parameters until you find your sweet spot. Unfortunately, you will have to close and open the game every time you change it to check how it works.
There’s so many cool Custom Camera mods out there that I thought it’s probably better to just show how to edit those 2 parameters than editing and reuploading all of them.
So yeah, that’s it. Now you can play those tall lots without getting a headache. Go ahead and send your college simmies to that hideous Sim State Tower with a hot tub on top of it. Now you’ll be able to see what’s going on up there.
MULTIPLE CREATORS ON MTS/MOD THE SIMS HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED
A few hours ago, Kuttoe sent an announcement in Sims After Dark that NateTheL0ser's MTS account was compromised with several uploads containing a new script file called "silkrose_debug" that attempts to download files from a third-party website. It was confirmed that more creators have had their accounts compromised in the second announcement.
It would be highly recommended to avoid the site completely until everything is back to normal. And if you really want to download something, do so at your own risk. Make sure to scan your PC and download ModGuard. If either of them have detected something, delete it and immediately change all of your passwords. And in a worst case scenario, wipe your OS and change your passwords from a different, uninfected device.
Decor and clothing should not have script files included!
Current list of confirmed, affected creators: PurrSimity, jellyheadDimbulb, and NateTheL0ser (has regained control of their account, however you should still be VERY cautious)
Here are some screenshots of the makeover I just did for the Bell household for my personal Desiderata Valley save. I'm personally quite proud of how it turned out, even though I ran out of money lol
