Ghouls can make different vocalizations. They can purr, growl. Even do a weird chirp.

Strong stamp of approval on this one, Anon. We hear the much different range of sounds feral ghouls (and ghouls who are on their way to being feral) are capable of making, and they're all fairly inhuman sounding. I don't see why they wouldn't also be able to purr when you scratch them under the chin just right or whatever.

decided to read the 1954 comics code and some of them make sense for the time but others are so fucking funny, the word "crime" is not allowed to be printed too big because…crime is bad

the reason behind this is there was a whole genre of crime comics that was popular at the time. they wrote the code to kill crime and horror comics. seduction of the innocent is mostly remembered for thinking Batman would turn kids gay but it was way more focused on out of context gory details from those comics.
